first, this is NOT your daddy's 400w scooter, crawling along the bike lane at 8 mph. in Dual Motor mode, this thing is turbocharged, it's super fast, and it kicks like a Texas longhorn steer. i am not joking or exaggerating. this thing is faster than most street-legal gas scooters. my husband went tearing around the neighborhood in Dual Motor-3 mode right after assembling it. not 10 minutes later, he came limping into the house dripping blood with a badly scuffed knee, elbow, right wrist, and shoulder. he was stopped at an intersection and was letting the car on the right go, he saw it was the neighbor, and he waved hello. his left hand still off the handlebars, he accelerated just a little bit, and boom - he went flying. he tried to grab on, and the bike zipped out from under him, and he faceplanted on the street. the issue is, this thing jerks forward SO hard and fast in Dual Motor mode. it leaps forward. for all intents and purposes, this thing is an electric motorcycle. if you don't hold on really tight and you aren't ready, you can easily go flying like my husband did. he's lucky he didn't end up in the ER. he's vowed to keep it in Dual Motor-1 from now on. it's plenty fast. it's your call, but parents may want to STRONGLY consider a slower scooter for their kids. you can take it from me, i took it for a spin around the neighborhood, and even in Dual Motor-1 mode you're probably getting up to about 30 mph. that is VERY fast for a little scooter with 12-inch tires. if you hit gravel or wet leaves going that speed, you could easily wipe out and seriously hurt yourself. and there's no governing switch to lock out Dual Motor mode, at least not that i can see. in Single Motor, it's much milder and tamer. Single Motor-3 still has a small jerk, but 1 and 2 are quite mild and gentle. it accelerates smoothly and the top speed is probably 15 mph, still pretty fast, but it takes about 20 seconds to get there. Eco Mode is very mild and gentle, like a kitten. it won't climb hills in Single Motor or Eco, at least not the hills around here. in Dual Motor it eats hills alive, just be VERY careful you don't take a steep incline, because you WILL go straight backward off the scooter and it'll land on top of you, and this thing weighs literally 100 pounds. always walk the scooter up steep hills, and be extremely careful flying downhill. safer just to walk it down steep hills too. GET A HELMET. i'm not joking. especially if you want to tear around in Dual Motor, you absolutely need to protect your skull. this thing is great, it's definitely more of a real vehicle and not a toy - and the sooner your get that into your mind, the safer you'll be. this thing is NOT a toy. it goes 10-15 mph faster than the Honda Ruckus at top speed, which is a gas engine that tops out at 30 mph, and that's a street legal vehicle. please don't play with this thing, treat it with care, as if it's a car or a motorcycle. if you want something slower and safer, get a 400-500 watt scooter. i have a 1200 watt scooter myself, it doesn't accelerate very fast but it tops out around 18-20 mph, which is plenty fast enough for me when i want to enjoy the nice weather and do some errands around the neighborhood. the tires, lights, brakes, the general construction, it's all super solid and very well made. there's not a cheap part on this bike, so you're getting what you pay for. my husband got about 40 miles of riding, switching between Single Motor-3 and Dual Motor-1, using Dual for flat, open areas and Single for areas with traffic. the scooter comes with two chargers, he got a dual-plug extension cord and plugged both chargers into that. just make sure your extension cord is rated Heavy Duty and can handle the amperage and wattage of both chargers. you don't want a fire on your hands, so DOUBLE CHECK. it's safest to get the most heavy-duty cord home depot or menard's has, or you can even bring one of the chargers and ask the employee which cord you should get. happy riding, there's no better way of enjoying a warm, beautiful autumn day....just seriously consider not screwing around with Dual Motor-2 and 3. it makes this scooter very unpredictable and "jumpy", almost "nervous", if you get what i mean. it's sort of like you don't have total control over it at all times, and that's a really freaky feeling. ... show more

I have had scooters for a few years and I bought this foholo for my first hyper scooter and it has been a very good scooter for the money. It's top speed is good for someone with less experience and it comes with a extended warranty with a simple email. I've tested the company to see if I got a response and to my surprise they responded quickly. This scooter is very tough and will take whatever you throw at it. If u have it on dual motor mod 3 and give it hell you'll only get bout 30 miles per charge. Taking it easy I've gone 50+ miles. It has decent take off but ur not gonna be racing any sports cars light to light. However you might beat a Toyota Camery lol. It's fun, it's reliable, and it's affordable. I weigh 225 pounds and it takes my weight easily. You won't regret buying this scooter. I still have mine and will never part with it. ... show more

This is the best bang for your buck. I wanted a scooter with power and longevity with milage and light enough that I could actually put in the back of my car myself. Being a small person this filled the order perfect. I just had 2 knee replacement surgeries and I am a bit of an adrenaline junky ... couldn't peddle my bike yet and it would be stupid to get on my onewheel just yet. This was awesome!!! Got me out of the house and zooming around in fresh air running my dog. I can't wait to heal up and test it all to the max. When I first got on it, I didn't know about the level 1,2,3 .... I just took off and was like ... HOLY COW the front wheel was peeling out. Not good for a knee replace person to be on, LOL. I was so excited about the power. This Is an amazing scooter with a smooth ride that is light enough to fold up and travel with. NOT TO MENTION: Great customer service and response! ... show more

I am very impressed with this scooter, it is built very solid and is extremely fast. I have only taken it for a quick ride so far. It wasn't fully charged and still got up to 49 mph. The ride was smooth and stable. The led display is huge and it has cool lighting features. I have it set up with the seat right now, but stood up on it while riding and it still has good stability. I already had 2 electric bikes and this scooter is my favorite. I highly recommend it! Update I have had the scooter for 3 months and I love it. I can't think of anything I don't like about it, including the customer service. I live in the Sonoran desert, with lots of thorns and needles and have not had a flat tire. It is also pretty hot right now and the scooter does good in the heat. The after sale service is top notch, they back the scooter 100 percent. I have even been able to buy a spare set of tires from them. You can't go wrong with this scooter! ... show more

    • Pretty good but wobbly
I've had the scooter about two months. In that time I'm driven the scooter quite a bit. It is a serious speedster. Easily gets to 35 MPH. I've personally hit 50 mph on a down hill. The problem is the scooter gets very wobbly at speed in excess of 35 Mph. There is also no easy solution for a sterring dampner. Nor does the company have any suggestions for one. I am currently using trial and error to find something that works on Amazon. It's still a great commuter in my opinion though. ... show more

I bought this scooter for my son. Not only he assembled it so fast in under an hour, he enjoys it so much! Rides it everyday - very smooth, safe with great lighting and breaking; folds nicely which makes it very portable and perfect for city life where you can take with you on a bus/subway. This scooter is so much fun riding in gears 1 2 3 in single motor and a blast in duel motor mode it's a big difference in single & duel motor mode very fast and powerful i ride mine through the yard and back field and it's no problem at all just hold on with both hands and enjoy the ride
