I like the way the entire top of the saya is open allowing you to just slot the knife into the saya versus pushing it in or drawing. I have cut myself drawing a knife out somehow so I don't like those as much. Other than that they are felt lined as stated and seem to hold the knife snug. These sleeves will protect the knives, but are not the best for portability of knives. The tops are open which can allow knives to separate from the sleeves in transport. Very good quality and protection of knives for storage (versus transport).

These aren't bad for knives where it's hard to find a sheath for them. I'm definitely only using these temporarily while I work on replacing them, but they aren't bad. They do get the job done, even though they're a little bulky for a knife bag.

As soon as I received these I used almost all of them and used my new knife roll from Amazon to roll up my chef knives into a syringe thick canvas roll with straps great blade protectors with felt inside to keep knives safe. I would order them again. The more expensive ones are on the same level as these and this pack is the best deal anywhere and I shopped around . I am a Chef and foodie and you will love this product. Gentle slide your blades in properly and store away. DO NOT KEEP KITCHEN KNIVES ON MAGNET BOARDS TO SHOW OFF OR KEEP ON COUNTER. DANGEROUS to kids and strangers have access to them. Keep your knives safe like your weapons. Lock them away or get what I did.
