I ordered this for my pool closing this winter so I have not had a chance to try it out and see how well it works over the winter. However, it seems to be everything that you need and I like the design of it. This reports to be able to treat up to 30,000 gallons which is a pretty big pool and a lot bigger than mine. To use these is says you should super chlorinate first and then pull the plugs on the back out and lay them where it faces downward in your pool. Overall, these are priced better than some other options and report to be able to do a bigger pool than competitors. I will update this review if they do not work for me well over this coming winter, but for now I give it 4 stars and would recommend this. ... show more

We’ve been using a singular winterization pill in our 24 foot above ground pool for two seasons now. The first season, we had great results upon opening our pool in the spring. The second season, the pool looked like a swamp (ini both cases, the pool water was balanced and crystal clear when the winter cover went on). I recently came across this two-pod system that treats up to 30,000 gallons and figured we’d give it a try this fall when closing the pool. I like that it has two separate treatment pods - one for purifying and one for boosting. I hope this makes a difference and we have nice, clean water when we uncover our pool in the spring of 2025. The pods look easy to use as well (you pull the tab on the back), and the box came with specific instructions for use, including to wait 24 hours after using shock before adding this winterization system. ... show more

This pool winterizing kit arrives boxed with simple to follow instructions. There are two capsules, winter boost and winter pure, that have a small sealed dispersal port and to use you simply pull off the seal and drop them both in the pool. The description says that the two capsules will work on any pool up to 30,000 gallons, which is more than is in my above ground pool. The directions also state it works for a period of 3 months. I think mist people who close their pool for winter are closing it for longer than 3 months. I know in Western PA it is usually end of September/beginning of October to middle of May. That is 7 months. Because of this I am already concerned and thinking of what else we could/should do this year I will update this review when I close the pool and again when I open the pool to be accurate. ... show more

You simply put these in the pool according to the directions after superchlorinating your pool and you're good to go. I have not used these yet as it's not yet time to close my pool but they appear to be legit.

This product is a horrible design, the 1 tablet worked as supposed to, the other tablet won't lay flat and will only float standing up thus not allowing the fluid to slowly drip into the pool. This product was a waste of time and money. Very disappointing

    • You must superchlorinate your pool before.

I have never had to add something to a pool closing kit. A bottle of shock is needed to start the process.. Will update when i use this in a couple of weeks
