This is a top quality product. The rubber strip at the front of the dustpan sits flush to the floor. I had read the Rubbermaid dustpan was NOT flush to the floor so I ordered this one. The broom is brand new of course so it needs a little breaking in but overall this is a super nice set. I ordered two of these So I could have one on both floors of my house. They are very sturdy, and easy to use. I would prefer a bit stiffer bristles, but these do the job well. It's a good broom for sweeping everyday dust and dirt. But anything heavy like little Pebbles or tiny rocks or buttons and also anything flat like paper you have to keep sweep until it moves because the bristles are way too soft. But everything else is as advertised it holds up, structure is strong, dustpan is wide, it's just not a good broom for heavy tasks. ... show more

Read a lot of reviews before purchasing. Had some reservations, but decided since I usually vacuum and only use a broom for stuff that the simple vac that doesn't have accessory hose can't tackle, I'd be fine. Some tips to address pain points: The pieces coming apart when sweeping. To be fair, the manufacturer may have made adjustments after seeing reviews and I'm working with the improved version. When assembling, attach the base piece first. Connect the rod pieces to each other, then attach to the base rod. The result for me doesn't have the least wiggle and didn't budge when sweeping. When storing the broom inside the dustpan, run the side of the bristles down the part of the pan that rests on the floor when you're sweeping stuff into it. Again, I'm not sure the manufacturer didn't take heed and widen the dustpan a bit, but the bristles don't touch the sides doing it this way. Don't put much pressure on the broom. Let your tools to do the work. Same as with good knives. I got some humbling reminders with this broom as my first use was for shredded foam with tiny pieces that would just roll up if I put too much pressure. When I went back over with the vacuum, the bin was empty. Fair enough. Speaks volumes for the broom's efficacy. Now I need to tidy up the broom and dustpan of the foam dust stuck to it lol ... show more

This is the broom you didn't know that you needed until you buy it. It has a nifty design that allows the broom to connect to the dustpan for storage and then separated into two pieces for cleaning. Both the broom and dustpan have long handles that allow you to sweep debris into the dustpan without bending over. The swivel feature on the dustpan allows for easy emptying into a trashcan. My favorite feature is that the broom/dustpan, when connected, can stand upright on its own either with the dustpan laying flat/horizontally on the floor or standing vertically along the narrower end. This space saving design fits easily in narrow vertical spaces such as between the refrigerator and a wall, hanging on a wall or back of a door, or standing flat in a small closet or pantry. This is not a broom to sweep big areas with as it is somewhat small. However, it is fantastic for quick clean ups in a kitchen, bathroom or laundry room, doesn't require charging like a hand vacuum, and can be stored within an arm's reach. ... show more

J/k, but I will say my wife and I both love this Broom and Dustpan set. Before we we just had the traditional broom and dust pan that were using everyday thanks to our wonderful non shed proof Dogs and since we are as young as we once were (que the song) all the bending down was not great. So, i took a chance and ordered this, it came in a small box but the assembly was easy and and now no longer have to bend over pick up what we just swept up and the built in brush cleaner is amazing. Young or old this broom combo is great and price was great, and if you have dogs it is even better. ... show more

I think how box says the broom & dustpan are "Luxurious" is hilarious. But joking aside, my mom loved it. She loves pink, so that checks that box. But it was easy to assemble and works great. It's easy to use the broom to push dirt and stuff into the pan, though I would say that the pan is a little too tight, we have to manually push it down and up, which is annoying. The dustpan and broom are good sizes and I really like how there are those tines or teeth or whatever you want to call them on the dustpan where you put the broom in it and then pull the broom through these teeth and they make sure nothing gets stuck in the broom and it all goes into the pan. However, they don't work perfectly. I tried using the broom and there was a bunch of hair stuck to the bristles. I tried pulling it through the teeth but the bristles just didn't want to let go of the hair. On top of that, we have noticed that the pan is just about the same width as the broom so it's a very tight fit. It would have been better if they made the dustpan just slightly bigger, maybe like a1/4-1/2in bigger so that it was easier to get the broom in without the bristles bending and easier to clean the bristles and store the broom. ... show more
