I bought this car after doing some heavy research on an electric basher that is extremely durable. After watching Derby City RC on youtube I had to buy it. That dude puts these things through some shiz. It looked very durable, although slower than what I'm used to, (I specifically Bash with 1/5th scale RCs 36cc and up in my spare time). With this HBX 2995 I was looking for a Dog Toy. Yes a dog toy. Hence why I wanted something extremely durable and not too fast. My dogs love it. We have been having a blast with this thing since I bought it a week or so ago. It's reminiscent of watching dogs chase an armadillo around the yard. They get a good run in and have fun while doing it. So much fun that every evening since the first day we ran it they have been coming to me and begging to go out and chase the RC. It became an instant routine with them. Of course I've had a couple issues, since my dogs are biting it and knocking it over, (when they can get a hold of it), but my dogs know to stop when the car stops. So it's not complete chaos. But I've had a shock break and lost a dogbone(rear right axle) at one point. Easy to fix. Used a couple washers to fix lthe busted bottom shock endcaps and the dogbone(axle) was not bent and went right back in easy enough. Longer story short..... Definitely a durable easy to run RC. One battery lasts long enough to give my dogs a nice run and wears them out (15-20 minutes). I would recommend using a balanced charger since these are LiPo batteries. The chargers that come with these bateries/car are not balanced and if you look around you'll see people have had issues with fires. Balanced charging is way safer. It's also easy to upgrade, something I plan on doing later. If you are offroading you may want to get some bigger shocks. For the Price I don't see this being beat. ... show more

This car is spectacular. It works super well, super maneuverable, fast, agile and super silent. The battery is eternal, we have had several sessions of more than an hour and on no occasion has the first battery run out (it comes with two). The oil suspension is amazing. It is very resistant and has withstood knocks very well, obviously it has suffered scratches from strong knocks as it is not indestructible, but until now it continues to work perfectly. My 10 year old daughter loves it and says it is the best gift she has ever had in her life. ... show more

Kid loves it! Enough said....almost... I've ordered 2. Initial one was for me but a while later we had to get a second one so we can both run them around. They're quick, tough, and a lot of fun. We haven't jumped them or anything yet. Parts seem readily available for the most part. Only real issue is limited battery size. That's all so far. Still allows for a decent amount of fun. Looking at getting faster charger and maybe a few more batteries. I do plan on upgrading mine similar to Derby City RC on yt (check him out. Good stuff. Tell him Badtolz2122 sent ya. Great review and mod videos of this car on there) to allow for 3s, better shocks, and bigger tires. That will be some time later though. For now, I just love playing with my kid. It often goes on sale for 120, not much less that I've noticed. Great little car for the price. ... show more

    • Nice car for beginners
The car is loaded with features and drives well. 1. It can take a lot of beating. The materials are little flexible, which prevents them from breaking. 2. Handles very well and easy to tune. 3. Well built like a real RC car, with metal gearing, 3 differentials, servo, etc. 4. Comes with deans connectors, two batteries and two chargers. 5. Parts are available. 6. Large and looks cool. On the negative side: 1. The car is not very fast. It does not have enough speed to get air, at least not more than a couple of inches 2. No space for a larger battery like you can upgrade on other cars. 3. Receiver and power controller are integrated, so upgrades (like using your own remote) is more involved than normal. 4. Lights in the outside body are a pain, since the shell is connected to the car with short wires. Fortunately you can unplug the lights from the receiver. Do this the moment you open the box. 5. Shocks have no damping. I think they need an oil fill. It's not much of an issue because the car is not very fast. If you upgrade it to go faster it will be too unstable. To sum it up, an ideal beginner car. I read that you can increase the power by using 3S battery, but this is difficult since there is no space. It's hard to find a 3S battery with enough capacity that fits. ... show more

I wanted to pick up a new hobby and decided on RC’s. After reading reviews and watching many videos, as a novice I purchased a Deerc 9201e. Great entry level vehicle and I havnt had any issues with it. The only thing I changed was the oil weight in the shocks, runs well. For my second car I wanted a desert buggy type Rc and after reading reviews on Amazon and YouTube I bought this awesome Haiboxing 2995. Out of the box even my untrained eye could see the quality and attention to detail. It’s heavy for a 1:12 scale and as large as the 9201e that’s advertised as a 1:10 scale. I connected a fully charged battery I had on hand and took it for a spin. Awesome buggy, easy to control and very responsive. I’m researching some upgrades, like a brushless motor, but for now the stock motor will do just fine!! Thank you Haiboxing for a solid product. ... show more
