Item: Adjustable Dumbbell 55LB Single ONE Dumbbell Weights, 5 in 1 Free Weights 15/25/35/45/55lb Dumbbell with Anti-Slip Handle, Suitable for Home Gym Exercise Equipment model 002 Pros: -Decently built. Handle is non-slip rubber. The adjustment parts are mostly hidden so you can't really see how they work. There is a metal adjustment piece that goes down the middle. The weight plates are metal encased in plastic and are one piece. All the weight plates are the same in every way. Clicking between weights feels good. -Compact! 5 dumbbells in 1 (15,25,35,45,55). This is the main reason for buying these. -Ok design overall. I like that the design is simple which is good for not breaking. Cons: -Most of the time, its going to take 2 hands to put the dumbbell back on the stand. The reason why is because the base doesn't keep the weights straight. So when you try and put the dumbbell back on the stand, you might accidentally bump a weight (high chance) and now you gotta use two hands. -Weight isn't accurate. Weighing these with an accurate scale, here is a list of the listed weight vs the real weight (in pounds): 15 = 14.2 25 = 23.8 35 = 33.6 45 = 43 55 = 52.8 I've ordered this exact product before and this was the actual weight of that previous order: 15 = 14.4 25 = 24 35 = 33.6 45 = 43.4 55 = 53 Other Thoughts: -Not a con but worth mentioning because it is a minor inconvenience. You can't immediately jump from 55 to 15. You have to go from 55 to 45 to 35 to 25 to get to 15. If your on 15 you can't immediately jump to 55. You have to go to 15 to 25 to 35 to 45 to 55. -There is a little bit of play. This is normal for adjustable dumbbells. -Base is made out of plastic. This is normal for adjustable dumbbells. -Really the only problem with this product, is the weights don't lego into each other. The weights are flat and don't connect to each other. I think if they did this, you could easily one hand adjust, use, and place back on stand. ... show more

This is really so much nicer than having to have an entire set of dumbells laying around. Changing weights is pretty simple and goes fast. The grips are comfortable and everything feels very secure. My only surprise was that I bought this expecting it to be a set of dumbells and it was only the one. That's just my fault for not reading more carefully.     • Mixed feelings about this dumbbell
This is the first adjustable dumbbell I've ever owned or used; following are my observations: Switching between the different weights is very easy. Just rotate the handle and it clicks into place and feels solid. It can be difficult to put the dumbbell back into the stand after using. The different weights that have stayed in the stand wobble a bit when trying to place the dumbbell back on the stand, so it can take just a bit of time to get everything lined up right. Not a huge deal, but somewhat annoying. The handle grip is a nice rubber and doesn't slip. The dumbbell itself is very long since it has the end pieces attached and also has to have enough length to accommodate all the different weights. I feel like it can be too long, depending on what exercise I'm doing, and it can be a bit awkward to use/hold. Overall, I will continue to use it for exercises in which I just need one dumbbell and of a heavier weight (heavy for me, at least). I certainly would not order a 2nd one to have a matched set. For 15lb, 25lb, I'd prefer to use two of the single weight standard metal dumbbells. ... show more

Overall, this is not the highest quality product you would find for adjustable weight set. First of all, the base is made out of cheap quality plastic. I can easily see the base being broken if the weight is dropped on it. Second, the base does not properly hold the standing free weights that when you try to place the handle back into the set, you literally have to wiggle it to match all the weights to fit properly. This could have easily been fixed with better base support. This weight is functional and works well. You can easily turn the handle to adjust for your desired weight. You have to make sure the handle is correctly set for the desire setting. You can literally pick up the weights without being fully aligned, which can result the weights falling during a workout. Make sure to follow the direction noted on the handle. Overall, this is a two star product. ... show more
