This product arrived in four separate boxes, all together, and on time. I chose Epic Fitness because their dumbbell coating was PVC and did not have any tire rubber smell or oil. I was not disappointed. The Epic stand is 6 inches taller and a few inches wider than the competition making is extremely stable. I personally found the stand easy to assemble. Holes all lined up correctly. No filing holes required. Epic provided exactly the right number of bolts, washers, and nuts. No extras. They included a hex wrench, but you have to provide your own adjustable crescent wrench or a 17 mm open/box end wrench to fully tighten all the nuts. I had a small coating defect on one of the 5 pound weights and contacted the seller through Amazon. Within 24 hours they contacted me with a USPS tracking number and said the replacement dumbbell was on its way. This dumbbell set may have been $40 more than a similar set from a competitor, but for me the PVC coating, the larger/more sturdy stand, and the excellent customer service was worth it. ... show more

I've seen other reviews where people had issues with the rack, but that wasn't the case for me. The rack went together easily, feels sturdy, and looks great. Dumbbells themselves are excellent. There wasn't any smell associated with them, even right out of the box. I did wipe each one down with a damp towel, but that was the extent of the cleaning necessary. Overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase. Price was reasonable for the dumbbells and rack, and I expect to be using these for decades. ... show more

The weights for this set were exactly as expected and the assembly for the rack was very easy. I like that it's a very sturdy rack and I don't feel like it's going to fall apart under the weight of the dumbbells. The rubber on the dumbbells feel like they are a pretty good quality as well and won't break off metal handles after extensive use. Big props to the vendor - originally the set I was sent was short the 5lb pair and 10lb pair, but they sent an extra 15lb pair. I reached out to customer service who responded immediately and I had my replacement sets within two days. Would recommend this set and vendor. ... show more

The rack is very sturdy. Assembly was easy, but it is important not to tighten any nuts until everything is together to ensure everything will line up properly. The weights did not have any odd odor nor any oil or grease on them as I’ve heard some other types can. My only complaint is that the 15 and 25lb weights both have very spiky knurling that make it very uncomfortable to hold without gloves. The other sizes are fine. ... show more

We have had this for four years and it has worked out great. The weights are just the right increments to allow for a good home workout. The stand does take up room but nothing excessive.

    • Excellent weights at a good price
The weights are sturdy and comfortable. They grip well, without hurting the hands. They're comfortable for use as free weights and also when using them as support, such as with push-ups or renegade rows. Other people said that there's a strong odor, so I washed each weight out of the box with a wet (no soap) cloth and haven't noticed an odor at all. The coating is smooth. I haven't had them for all that long, but I haven't noticed any issues such as when they bang together. The rack--which takes a bit to put together--is sufficient. It seemed a bit flimsy at first, but it is solidly built. The corners and edges are a bit sharper than I'd like, but it's nicely compact. The padding for each handle on the rack is smooth and allows them to spin in place. Note that my shipment came in five boxes. They all happened to arrive at the same time, but that apparently doesn't happen for everyone. ... show more

I'm in love with this weight rack and weights. Since the pandemic started I have been looking for weights to use in my in home gym that would give me the weight sizes I used in the gym. The entire set was delivered in one delivery, weights and rack. The rack was super easy to put together and is very sturdy. Not bad for a 65 year old woman. Could not beat the price either. During the months of the Pandemic I had ordered individual 20 lb. and 25 lb. weights and individually they both were over $70 dollars. Thank goodness they never came and Amazon reimbursed my money.
