If you're wanting to dabble in the polymer clay earring making, this kit is for you! It comes with everything you need to get started and do some trial runs to see if it is a hobby you enjoy. I found it so great that I went and bought a bunch more polymer clay earring making supplies and then snapped back to reality and realized I had an infant so I have zero time to partake in the hobby. The tools in this have been great as my daughter has been making jewelery with polymer clay. However the clay that comes with it doesn’t appear to ever really harden - even when cooked too long to where it changes color. Remains rubbery and flexible. This is a really good starter kit for polymer clay jewelry. It has almost everything you need to get started and making things. I’m no polymer clay expert, but I have dabbled in the past. The selection of colors is nice. Basic, but if you’re willing to put in the effort to mix, you can get a lot of different shades of colors. I did find their online color mixing recipe book very helpful and informative. I started with white, and it was very easy to condition. I then used yellow. It wasn’t as smooth/easy to work with, but I eventually got it conditioned. It was just a little dry and crumbly. The blue was the worst of the colors. (Note: I haven’t yet used the red or black, so can’t speak to them.) The blue was incredible crumbly and dry and was really really hard to condition because it kept breaking. I had to work it at least three or four times longer than I did the white. And then I had wanted to mix colors. I thought I had gotten the blue pliable enough to work with, but it was still tough going. I’m not going to count this as a full strike against the kit because there can always be a bad batch of clay. Unless this pack was older than the rest - then I’d question the QC. But I eventually got to a shade close to what I had had in mind. There are a lot of cutters that came in the kit. A really nice variety. I wanted to start a little basic to keep things simple for myself. I used the tip of using a piece of plastic wrap when using a cutter to get rounder edges. I like the way that turned out. I had never used molds before, so that was a small learning curve. But I eventually got to something I liked. It was fun. I would definitely use molds again now that I understand a little better how to use them. The kit came with a texture sheet, which I had also never used before. It gave me some interesting results. The finished product didn’t turn out, unfortunately, but that was all on me - user error in the end. I have used a silk screen before. The kit lacked any paint or a squeegee to use with it. Fortunately, I do have some acrylic paint. But I have not gotten around to using the silk screen yet. The kit also lacked a liquid bakeable adhesive, which their video tutorials recommend using. The kit also lacked a sealer. Which i had read is recommended for jewelry. These weren’t deal breakers. Just something I noticed. Overall, really happy with the quality and quantity of supplies that came in the kit. I think it has about 97% of everything one needs to start making polymer clay jewelry. ... show more
