I have been searching for a door alarm that uses an app on my phone to arm and disarm, and ive finally found it with this one. But its more than that, this is by far the most functional door alarm ive seen (trust me, i have owned like 6 different alarms, to my dismay). As you can see by the screenshots, theres a lot of options you can change as well as using the app to arm and disarm. AND IT ACTUALLY WORKS. I have tried door alarms in the past that simply do not listen to the app, but this one does basically without delay. You can change volume, the time it takes to alarm, the duration of the alarm, all things i was willing to settle to not have, but this thing has it all. Ive only had it for one day but im already blown away by how this is just perfectly what ive been looking for for so long. ... show more

I don't write reviews normally but felt the need to on this one as there is no direct support or way to get the issue addressed. But this product flat out does not work unless you manually arm/disarm every time. There is an automation framework which you can schedule the devices to be armed at the specific time, however in the logs it says it runs but the devices themselves never update or show in the log that it was updated. Therefore its an alarm that doesnt arm. Unless you click the button each and every time to turn it off/on. You can see a log of when anything was executed and that is handy but also shows me that nothing from the automation framework is actually being executed. I was able to install this on a door with a jamb that's not flush by using hanging strips. The volume can be changed. Ths lowest setting is loud enough without being too loud. The device has an on/off switch, and arm/disarm button. I don't think I can turn it off/on or arm/disarm it from the app. It connected to wifi quickly & easily. When the alarm goes off it also alarms the phone. Figured out that if it's on and disarmed it alerts the phone, which is useful. Nicer than having an alarm go off, but still be alerted that the door has opened. It connected to my echo dot easily, but not sure what function that provides as far as the alarm feature. There's no list of phrases that I've seen anywhere. I think you can set it up as a sensor to turn on lights & things like that when you open the door. I think the alarm noise can be turned off and you can just use it for that. I bought this to alert me about a teen leaving, but idk how helpful this will be if he can just turn it off. This would be good for young kids, though. Also peace of mind about break-ins. The device itself is good quality and it came with batteries. Just got it, so idk about long-term use. I thought it was going to have more of a chime setting and it would alert us rite away if the doorway at the top of our stairs was left open to where our toddler could fall down. It does not alert you rite away if left open.. it’s like a 10 second delay then it goes off. That bothered me because it takes a second for a toddler to fall and I was looking for something that would chime while happening. It does alert loudly when opening the door and sounds like your opening the door to 711. My hubby is ended up taking it down. ... show more

I purchased two of these approximately two months ago. I find the sensors working fine linking to my cell phone. I did figure out how to use them on my own. I did not find the installation pamphlet very helpful. It provided illustrations of installing and using the sensors with a different app. Two apps were recommended. The one that was used in the pamphlet was not the one I needed. The only weakness I find in the system right now is battery life. I’ve used both rechargeable and alkaline batteries neither last longer than two weeks. I would recommend this product because it can be linked to a cell phone and monitored offsite. ... show more

I wanted to share my thoughts on the SanJie Door Window Alarm Sensors. Overall, I'd give them a solid 4 out of 5. Let me break it down for you. These sensors are all about home security and keeping an eye on things, especially for the safety of kids. They definitely do their job well. They're pretty loud, with an adjustable volume of up to 120 dB. Trust me, you won't miss that alarm going off. I used this because our kids keep getting out of the apartment when we have to go to the car to pick somthing up. It's not safe for them to leave them to leave without supervision and we were worried they would run out into the street. This let's us know real time the door is open and it alarms loud for them halting them in there tracks. Paired with cameras this gives us the time needed to tell them via the cameras to stay inside and we can disable the alarm remotely. The only think I wish it had the ability to do is alarm remotely. That would be a nice feature with the kids if I see there doing somthing wrong because they hate the noise! But I can't knock it a star because it's not ment for that purpose anyway. Great product!
