I spent more to get this one bc it cools lower and last longer. Both lies!!! The battery life on high is 1.5 hours at best. The semiconductors DO NOT get to 30 degrees. No way. They get cold but quickly struggle to stay cold. After 15 minutes they are the same temp as you and don't cool. The fan works fine but I didn't spend extra for an okay fan. I spent extra for get semiconductors, they are not okay. ... show more

Battery life sucks. Nice to use on a hot day but don’t expect more than about an hour to an hour and 20 min depending on the fan speed when using the cooling function

I've seen people wearing these from time to time and thought I'd give it a try. This fan actually works and keeps me cool. The buttons are simple with an on/off and cooling button. the fan was comfortable around my neck and not too heavy of weight on my shoulders. The battery life is surprisingly very long. I consider myself a neck fan connoisseur at this point lol! I have a few. They're great for hot flashes! This one with the cooling plates seemed ideal just not sure why the unit gets hot on the outer side of the fan where the cooling plates are. I thought I must have a defective one so I got a replacement but it does the same thing. It defeats the purpose of cooling you down so two stars for me. ... show more

This product is great in theory. Quality of the item itself is great, BUT... The battery consumption it's too great. It takes a couple hours to charge, then the charge only lasts for 10-20 minutes tops. IF that long. It also says the battery has no memory and you will ruin it if you don't unplug the charger as soon as it's charged. It's hard to always pay attention to something that takes 2 hours to completely charge. The fan works great. The air flow temperature is very, very cold.. just like you'd want on a very hot day. I would have absolutely loved this cooler IF the battery stayed charged for more than 10 minutes. That made it useless to use at work like I hoped. ... show more

    • Is fire a feature?
I got this to just keep cool while on trips. Got the device, charged it, and put it on to try it out while doing some chores. About 30mins in the fans stopped. I thought it was odd and thankfully took it off my neck to look at it because at that moment it belched a shot of fire out the vents and then began smoking that "your electronics are toast" smoke. I had bought 2, one to be a gift, but needless to say it's with the other. Maybe I got a bad one, but I'm not risking it, especially while traveling. I wasn't overly happy with the device anyway. The controls are only clear if you're looking at them with good light. Hard to find and use by just touch. I didn't buy it for quiet times but it was noisy by any stretch. I think if I was on a train, plane or in a car with someone they'd have issues even over the drone of the vehicle. Can't say while it was running that it worked all that well, either.
