If you need a very small, inexpensive amp to practice, this works fine. Of course, due to its size, etc., the quality of the sound is fair at best, but that doesn't matter while practicing.

The design of this little amp is great - the size, the appearance, the features, and even the heft. It feels like a solid little amp. If you want a distorted sound, it delivers, and it'll deliver distorted sound loud enough for a small room and possibly loud enough to jam with a lightly-amplified electric guitar or acoustic guitar. With the Clean setting selected, Gain set to its lowest, and the Volume turned all the way up, this amp does not put out much volume at all - just enough volume to hear yourself practice. Plus, low notes distort at this setting, even though it should be clean. With Clean selected and Volume all the way up, turning up the Gain up will make the amp louder, but it will distort. It shouldn't distort much with Clean selected. As expected, the sound will be much more distorted with the Drive setting enabled, and increasing the Gain will certainly increase the distortion. All said and done, this little amp can get loud enough to hear just your bass in a small room, but it really fails to put out much volume with a clean sound. When practicing bass, distortion and other effects aren't needed, so those features don't really belong on a little practice amp like this. I wish they would have focused on a louder clean sound. I have smaller and cheaper Bluetooth speakers which put out more volume and sound much better than this! ... show more

Great little amp. I can set the tone and gain to about anything I need. Its super light, small, you could take it anywhere and I really like the battery recharge, no need to buy batteries The sound is clean, you may want consider adding reverb or delay. Other than that, great little practice amp.

Small enough to easily take to electric cello lessons. Big enough volume to fill the practice room. Cello teacher really liked it. So do I. I love the ability to plug in earphones for silent practice and to blue tooth music on my phone to it for "play along" fun!

I like the size and the controls. It is too bad the amp just doesn't work. When trying to use the clear channel you get very little volume and if you try the drive channel it sounds like of bunch 6 years olds all trying to play guitars at the same time, it is just a bunch of noise, no music. Save your money and pass on this. ... show more
