I recently purchased the Automatic Port Chicken Feeder and Cup Waterer Set, and it's been a great addition to my chicken setup. The feeder and waterer are both durable and user-friendly, making chicken care a bit easier. My chickens have taken to it well, and it's fantastic to see less waste with the feeder’s design. The feeder, with its three ports, and the waterer, with four cups, offer ample feeding and watering options. The feeder needs to be refilled only once or twice a week, depending on your flock size, which is very convenient. We mounted ours on a small curb using the provided brackets, but it can be easily hung in other suitable locations. One thing to keep in mind is that the waterer’s cups need regular cleaning—every few days or so—to keep things hygienic. The instructions suggest adding a piece of copper to the waterer to help keep the water clean, and that tip has proven useful. A piece from a local home improvement store did the trick perfectly. The set also includes a xylophone, which I initially thought my chickens would enjoy. However, they haven’t shown any interest in it so far. Works awesome. We are just getting started with seven feathered dwarves, and after building the very swanky coop, I felt silly purchasing a feed/water kit when there are DIY options. We are pretty handy. But the chickens were here, delivery was promised lickity split, so we hit the Buy Now button. It’s great. I don’t feel like we paid a bunch for plastic. We did. That’s true. But it works just fine once the chickens get the hang of it. The sign and the xylophone are fun, though they haven’t pecked a tune yet. Be careful with the plastic assembly, it instructs you to crank it down, but you will strip threads. I just went enough to compress the washers and everything is just fine, no leaks. Would recommend. ALSO, appreciate the rectangle rather than a round bucket to save space, and it will mount to a wall or inside the coop. ... show more

I love the idea of offering lots for your chickens, without having to utilize all of your space to do it. That being said, I made this purchase basically for the feeders (the rest was a bonus or will be shared with other chicken friends). I typically feed my chickens water with chicken nipples, but also want them to have the option of another means, which this provided. I wasn’t sure if it would leak, but so far, it doesn’t seem to be. As far as the food goes, I liked that it had three feeder “ports” in the same food container. I took a piece of cardboard and cut it to size and bent it in half, making three individual sections for food. I placed something different in each of them and attached the two feeders together with a nut and bolt (so nothing tips and they’re sturdy). So far, the girls love them! I haven’t seen them use the chicken nipples yet, but that’s not a concern to me, as they’re utilizing all the rest. Hopefully this review can help someone else offer more options for their flock, yet save space. ... show more

Easy to set up. Doesn’t leak. Top just slips on making it easy to refill. Wish it was bigger. Have to refill the water every other day.

This is so sturdy. Very well made! Chickens have no problem eating from it. I have not used the waterer yet because I bought it for the feeder and it came with the water bucket and toys too! It was cheap compared to most feeders and I love that I can close the feeder holes at night to keep feed away from critters. Would buy more when my hens multiply! ... show more

    • Great size, no spill, keeps food dry, two options for waterer
I LOVE this product set. I’ve just ordered my 3rd pair because I like them so much. I’m definitely an over compensator when it comes to making sure my chickens have plenty of access to food and water. I plan for something to go wrong and like to have backups to the backups. But I’ve never had one of these fail. The tops fit snug and slide over far enough to avoid any water intrusion yet can easily be taken off and put on with 1 hand. They hold a significant amount of food/water but aren’t so large they are too heavy to move around if necessary. I’ve recommended these to everyone who’s ever asked about how to stop chickens from spilling food I like them because they can be set on the ground for chicks to use and as they grow you just hang them higher and higher so they’re chest height to the chickens as they grow taller. ... show more
