Features

  • Heat-powered Fireplace Fan - No Plug-In - No batteries required - Converts the heat emitted from the woodstove to drive the woodstove fan, allowing warmth to spread throughout the room. A truly environmentally friendly and energy efficient device.
  • Upgraded Power - ZGRMBO S180 woodstove fan is made of anodized aluminum and has a thicker base for more efficient energy conversion, with 6 fan blades for 50% more warm air overall than a 4-blade woodstove fan.
  • Space-saving Installation Solution - ZGRMBO S180 fireplace fan base is placed on the surface of the fireplace chimney pipe. It is particularly suitable for fireplaces with insufficient top surface temperature, soapstone top surfaces and irregular top surfaces. At the same time, installing the fireplace fan on the fireplace chimney will save more space for you to heat other food on the fireplace in winter.
  • Quiet(25dB) - You won't even feel the sound of the ZGRMBO S180 woodstove fan when it's running. It is quieter than in the library. Reading next to the wood stove becomes a happy and relaxing weekend rest choice.
  • AFTER-SALES GUARANTEE - If you have any problems after receiving this wood stove fan, we promise 45-day no-reason money back and 2-year after-sales warranty protection. Buy it without worrying about product quality and customer service.

  • Quiet, No cord
Put two on my stovepipe, helps even out the heat from the stove. Not as powerful as my old powered Heat extractor, but will continue to work when the power goes out.

  • Nice
I got this for an old woodstove in a shared workshop. The fan is sturdy and attractive, and lends a bit of old-timey charm to a space. It helps you move heat and so recover some of the heat energy that would otherwise go out the chimney. I recommend 2 people and a cordless drill for the assembly unless you are very dexterous. The attachment clamp is the kind where you turn the screw to move the clamp. You'll have to turn it a LOT to get the clamp open and then secure the fan. Even with a cordless drill, this can be a difficult job if doing it alone so bring your patience. The fan blade radius is taller than the body, so this fan doesn't sit on a perfectly flat stove top. I used a square pipe section as a standoff. This keeps the blades off the stove top and transmits more heat to the fan so it kicks on earlier. It's only October in Florida and so I only built small fires to test the fan. It circulates air way better than I thought it would. I can feel a difference sitting several feet away and I appreciate it very much! ... show more

  • Came with the wrong instructions but does work
It took a minute to figure out how to attach this fan to our stove pipe. Normally, I wouldn't mind winging it and putting it together intuitively. But this fan obviously works with very high temps, so I took my time and kept double checking to make sure the clamp was staying secure before I added wood and fired up the wood stove. It did stay securely, and maybe I was simply being overly cautious, but I didn't want a hot fan flying off the pipe. I'm attaching a pic of the instructions because they're written for a fan that sits on a flat surface and not for one that secures to the pipe. Overall, though, this little fan is sturdy and works as described once it's installed. ... show more

  • .Pretty Cool Fan . . . Uh Warm Fan!
We have a Lopi Liberty Wood Stove (one of the best & highly rated) in the corner of our very large living room with the stove pipe going up into the ceiling and venting outside. It works great and puts out a lot of heat except into the farther regions of the home. However this new Zgrmbo 6 blade heat powered fan should give it an extra boost relative to distance and we're looking forward to that when it's time to start using the wood stove again this coming winter season. Plus the installation appears to be very simple, attach the fan with strap around the stove pipe and stick on the magnetic thermometer. One thing to be cautious about are the fan blades, because the edges are fairly sharp and can definitely cut skin and there is no fan shroud around the blades, so be careful of this. I will update this review after I install it in the winter, but in the meantime I really like it. ... show more

  • Throws heat well!
I love this fan! Once my wood stove heats up it kicks on instantly. The fan spins fast but the trick is with these fans is you don't want just one. I have six of them ony stove. The more you have the more it throws air. Installation was super easy. Took me about five minutes. The fens that round around the pipe are my favorite. I have my wood stove in the basement and I have a floor vent above it that exposes the heat to the first floor so having this fan blowing upward to the vent helps so much. I highly recommend these fans if you have a wood stove. It's silent, it's built well and for what it costs it's definitely worth it! ... show more

  • Handy design, well constructed, but not well executed
This uses a Peltier effect device to turn heat into electricity. It clamps on to your stovepipe and turns on as the pipe heats up, in order to capture some of the heat that would be otherwise wasted, and circulate the warmed air coming from your fireplace or stove. The long and short of it: It works, as in the fan turns on when it gets hot, but it neither moves much air, nor moves it across the hot parts of your stove. It depends on the the heat being transmitted through the mounting bracket, and creating a thermal differential between the lower bracket and the upper fan assembly, generating electricity and powering the fan. The fan blows outward, and winds up pulling warm air over the heat fins behind it. It effectively pulls warm air through the part that needs cool air to work efficiently. The smart move would be to reverse the leads on the motor, causing it to push cool air from the room towards the stovepipe (over the cooling fins) and allowing the cool air to be heated and moved through the room by natural convection currents. The fan really only moves a tiny amount of air, so it really doesn't do much, all told. ... show more

  • Wood stove fan, heat powered, six blades!
This is a wood stove fan that has six blades. It is heat powered which means it does not require any electricity. It also comes with a magnetic thermometer and a band clamp to help attach it to your stove pipe. I got this because we have a wood stove that we use for emergencies to help heat our house and although it works, it's not that great because the heat stays right around the stove. This can clamp right onto the stove pipe and push the hot air into the room. This is a well-made wood stove fan, and we are thrilled to have it! ... show more

  • Fantastic method to capture otherwise lost heat
This wood stove chimney fan is so easy to install... it comes with a large screw tight pipe clamp and a magnetic thermometer. Much heat from a fire is usually wasted through the chimney pipe. This fan takes the heat to power the fan and move air across the chimney and direct warm air into the room. No, it doesn't reclaim all of the heat, barely a fraction actually, but it does work! The only issue I had with this unit was the temperature range in the directions... and then I realized that the temp referenced was Celsius... LOL ... 450C is over 800F - if your chimney gets that hot you better call the fire department!!! So, your optimal chimney temp is between ~about~ 300F-550F or 150C-300C to avoid creosote buildup and prevent burning down your house. It does matter where you place the fan and the thermometer... you will need to experiment a bit to find the best place on the chimney to put it. I have two thermometers (I had one previously to monitor the chimney temp) placed above and below the fan unit. It is hotter the closer you are to the stove and cooler the farther up you go... ... show more
