I bought to use on the stove in our hot tent for circulating the heat around better. It works great and you can definitely feel a move balanced heat in the tent. Plus it doesn’t take any power source besides contact with the stove. Great invention and this model is a great quality.

Got this to help spread the fireplace warmth around my main floor, approximately 1000 square feet. The unit starts spinning and gets to full speed in good time, however the airflow movement is relatively minimal. In about 4 hours of full running it made about a 3-5 degree difference on in the overall temp of the house vs not having it. So it works, just don't expect a miracle quick cure, it needs lots of time to move the air. For the price I figured that it's worth the 4 stars, better than nothing and doesn't set you back in cost. The only other downside was that it does make a higher pitched humming noise, not noticeable over the tv or if you are in a conversation, but if you are relaxing in silence it's about enough to drive you mad. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Works great! Circulates the air into the room nicely. It’s a small, slow current, which is perfect for our large room because it keeps the warm air circulating without making the room temperature too hot. We keep the stove door open until the room gets to the temperature we like, and then we shut the stove door and this fan keeps the temperature in the room nice and steady after that. We have a small open-plan 1 1/2 story cottage. In part due to occasional power outages, we depend on a wood stove and a heat pump for space hearing. This is the third stove fan we have used over the last 30 years and it is by far the best. It is sturdy aluminum with six blades for efficiency and no need for a battery. it is ready to work straight from the box, and quiet enough that you may not even notice it.     • NICE FAN BAD STORE POLICY

Ok here we go. I ordered this fan because its alittle bigger than the 1 we have now. This will go to the cabin I thought. The fan arrived in a timely mannerin a secured Amazon box. Upon opening I noticed the fan box had been opened. It looked fine so I put it on our woodburner to make sure it worked ok before packing it for the next days trip to the cabin. Needless to say the fan didnt work ok. It had a bad wobble. One of the blades was bent an the drive shaft was also bent. I know things happen but clearly this fan had been sold , returned,because it was defective and sold again. So you know the deal we packed it back up, called Amazon for a return slip an drove 10 miles 1 way to staples. We got a new 1 very quickly and it works great. Its a nice fan . But because of the stores work place ethics I wouldnt buy from them again . They should have gave the fan to me after this. If a product is returned defective dont turn around an send it to someone else hoping youll get away with it. BUYER BEWARE! ... show more

I got 2 of these to set on my Vermont Castings woodstove and this is their second year of use. The stove heats 1600 square feet to give you an idea of its size. My house has a great room and 2 bedrooms on the main floor, and then a loft and bedroom upstairs. Prior to using these little fans the heat would go straight up to the cathedral ceiling and heat the upstairs, but not evenly heat the livingroom, kitchen, and bedroom areas on the main floor. Aiming the fans on the woodstove in the directions that needed heat has made a huge difference in distributing heat. They circulate hot air so it’s not all going up to the ceiling. They are a smart, beautiful design and are silent when in operation. My stove has a top-loading feature, which I prefer to use when adding wood, and I place the fans out of the way of the top-loading door so I don’t have to move them each time wood is added. But they are so lightweight and easy to move, if you had to place them on the door itself it wouldn’t be hassle to move them each time. Well worth the money! Very happy I bought them! ... show more
