Don't expect a stove fan to produce gale force winds and blow your furniture towards the center of the room but what I will say this fan circulates heat just fine off of my antique Perfection kerosene heaters. I'd recommend. Runs smooth and silent.

Just moved to a house in the country that came with an indoor propane heater. I found that the heat would go straight up and not really distribute around the room. Well this little fan totally solves that issue. Can definitely feel the warm air being pushed forward. The fan blades spin very quickly. It produces a slight ambient hum but it doesn’t bother me at all. Also the metal bracket that it came with isn’t technically compatible with the type of heater I have, but I was able to mount it and as long as no one bumps into it, it should stay put. Hey Man! So I did a good amount of research on these type of fans and picked out the 3 brands that were, 1. Best rated by Amazon buyers for airflow, value and quietness 2. Best rated off Amazon on other sites in comparing multiple models. 3. Cost Less than $40 . This was one of the three I purchased. Immediately on start up and at speed, wood stove around 450 F, a very notable vibration/shake was present. The other two units from different manufacturers did not exhibit this at all. Yes, the blades were clearly out of alignment and balance and as the entire unit shook, it was very notable. Given that spinning devices wear out quicker if they are not balanced and given that Amazon has considerably narrowed the return window for items, I choose to return it and to be done with it. As I am very happy with the other two, I choose not to get this one replaced but to get my money back. Did I get a dud? Not sure, but getting a brand new item that doesn’t work as advertised is never enjoyable. Thus the one star rating. Perhaps you will have better luck. ... show more

It works, it moves some hot air off of my wood burning stove. I just wish it moved more air. It's also inexpensive so maybe it's worth the cost, it's definitely better than not having one. But if it moved 50% more air it would be a 5star review.
