    • Good, Quiet Bike with Recumbent Option

I am not normally into exercise machines, and have more than one I do not use to prove it. But over the last couple of years I have lost ground in muscle tone in my legs, and given my age (62), I knew I needed to do something to improve it, especially since I am also a volunteer firefighter. The appeal of the bike was that it is less impactful on joints and something that you can work up to in terms of resistance. The recumbent option fulfills that well, relieving the back while you work on your legs. I was not excited about having to assemble it, but I can say that the instructions were good and if you take your time and follow them accurately, it's not that bad. They also provide tools, which is helpful, but one recommendation I would give is to use a ratchet set, especially for the handle bars used for the recumbent option. The tools work, but there are better options if you have them. Taking my time I don't think the whole affair took more than a couple of hours, although I am sure others could do it in far less. I just didn't want to mess up. I finally used it this morning for my first 30 minute workout, taking advantage of the little shelf where you can place your IPad. Nice option. Listened to a podcast and the time when by faster. The seat back is also a nice addition. I seem to remember in reading reviews that some complained about this, but personally I found it quite comfortable. Maybe it's a matter of body types. The exercise bands are an easy way to incorporate some upper body exercise. I am sufficiently out of shape from the Covid lock-down period that this was perfect for working myself back without becoming discouraged at the beginning. Again, this is the first use, but so far, so good. Price was right (around $200). Takes a while to get it (I don't think it comes with the benefit of Prime, which I have). But overall I'm pleased. But,again, take your time assembling it and use a ratchet set. For toned athletes that are used to aggressive workouts, this may not be your bike. I think it's geared more for people like me, so keep that in mind. If I was a regular biker who put on many miles, I'd probably upgrade to one of the larger models. ... show more

This is the second folding bike I've bought in the last 4mos. The first one - made by a different company- the belt broke within 3mos. I bought this YYFITT hoping for a better outcome. It was delivered ahead of time and brought up to my apartment door which I am so very grateful for as it is very heavy. I used the video for set up. The video could be more clear, but it was very helpful. I found that long handled wrench awkward at times so I used the wrench from the last bike when I could. Be careful with the pedals. Instead of loosening one of the bolts to get it off to attach the pedal to the crank shift I accidentally tightened it and when I realized I had turned it the wrong way almost could not unloosen it again! The video should show the actual screwing on but it doesn't- thats why I say it could be more clear. The bike itself is very strong and sturdy. When I set it to a certain resistance level - say 12 - it stays feeling a 12. The other bike I had I would put it at say 12 and soon after it would not feel as tight any more. I find the seat comfortable, the console easy to use and l love the red accents on the black frame. The resistance on these folding bikes is quite decent. I've worked out on a bike for years so I'm not a new exerciser. A physically fit guy may not find the resistance adequate. Solar I love this bike. ... show more

After a detailed comparison, the YYFITT folding exercise bike compares favorably to several other offerings from Amazon including the Slim Cycle, Sportneer and Dispank (all in a similar price range). I'm very pleased I settled on the YYFITT for several reasons. First, high quality materials and workmanship are first rate, noting the welded construction and powder coat finish on the tubular frame. In both the upright and recumbent positions, the ride is extremely comfortable (thanks to the tilting back rest and the angle of the seat. Not sure if the other models offer a tilting back rest. The magnetic resistance has 16 settings, and after trying the complete range I find my heartrate is elevated very quickly, and I'm able to maintain this with the resistance bands for a great upper body workout. Next, adjusting from recumbent to upright, and even to full folding position is easy using the quick release / locking pin; and the tilting mechanism glides on a chrome finish tube. I didn't notice any chrome hardware on the competing models. The thick padded seat and backrest materials appear extra durable and very comfortable even after long workouts. Installation was very straight forward with excellent instructions, tools, and assembly video link included. Finally, I just think the machine looks cool with the red accents on the seat, display, crank, and resistance bands. This takes up very little room when stored in my closet, but actually I'm enjoying the bike so much I'm leaving it out so I can jump on any time in my home office. Nice to know if can be folded and stowed in seconds. Definitely one of my best purchases in a long time. Finally, it was shipped free in 2 days, even for non-Prime customers. I hope my experience helps in your decision process for folding exercise bikes. ... show more

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and sturdiness of this exercise bike. Sells for $199 but Amazon was offering a $30 coupon on it and What a great deal! It was relatively easy to assemble and, note... I'm not usually good with assembly manuals. The bike is well-made and feels very sturdy. It doesn't move, rattle or shake when you ride it and it's whisper quiet. I really like that it has 2 positions - recumbent and upright, and the attached exercise bands are also very nice and well-made. It is extremely compact and easy to move and easy to fold if you need to store it. That being said, it doesn't feel like a "small" bike when you're on it.
