Some torch lighters require too much thumb pressure to ignite, but in the provided video, it appeared these lit with ease. That video is what sold me. These have all the features needed in a compact torch lighter & they’re pretty too which is a nice bonus. These were needed for UV resin work, as the standard lighter flame drifts straight up & doesn’t efficiently pop the bubbles. I use these to heat up my bubbles, and they apply a very even heat that gets the product going perfectly. The flame is easily adjusted, even while it is going, which is a big plus because we all know that adding too much or too little heat just doesn't quite get the thing going like it should. As with all torch lighters, be sure to drain them completely when refilling---particularly if you have been using cheap fluid, like zippo or the stuff from Walmart, as it is not pure and the impurities build up in the lighter and cause it to have "hiccups" while the flame is going. There is a British brand of fluid that is sold on Amazon that pairs perfectly with these lighters if you want to avoid the need to drain them completely, so you might want to check that out as well. Have been using these for several months now with no sign of them getting worn out---between lighting my cigarettes and heating, not to mention cleaning, my bubble, I use these A LOT more than your average person, as you can imagine, so they are tough and long lasting for sure. Only gripe I could possibly have is the clicking of the ignition is quite loud, so be aware of that if you are trying to do some stealth torching. I received them after purchasing them as a gift. I filled them both and the blue one doesn’t work. Right out of the box. So I immediately completed the app for replacement to be mailed out. They are "torches" as opposed to lighters. Fill them with butane. They last an acceptable time and have a hot flame which produces quick results. The colors are very nice, a bright blue and a pink. They come in a black metal box, were individually wrapped, and once unwrapped and filled with butane, were very nice to carry in that case. Plus, since it was metal, it worked for putting a hot torch in there. Although part of the torch gets warm, the way it's engineered, your fingers are never near the flame. The 2 lighters came in a black metal case. Nice packaging. I will start with I like the design and compactness of the lighters. The black lighter that works has a nice strong torch flame and the dial to change the torch hight works great. Unfortunately the Blue torch lighter was missing the nozzle for the gas. Depending on the temperature they are stored in You may have to adjust the flame height. I turn it way up and then adjust it back down especially if I leave one in the car for a period and it's cold. If it's warm out it doesn't matter. The fuel seems to run out fairly quick but that's okay these are good lighters. I can have all four windows down and light a smoke. These are also excellent for candles especially when the wick is down. I use them on Goose Creek type candles when the wicks are low. Fires them right up with no problem. The heat distances quite far. Just have to be careful to point it away from your face as your lighting. My buddy burnt his mustache when I let him borrow it. He was pointing it at himself. They are very hot. But I love my lighters. I bought two orders of two. I take them out on the boat, I leave one in my car and a couple in the house. Just keep an eye on the fluid and learn to adjust the flame and you'll have no problems. Some people complain because they don't work. You have to play with a little.
