The Amazon listing says that it is for doors "that are 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick". The Yale instructions say the same thing. But the included M4 22mm screws are too long for a 1 3/8" thick door. When I tried to use the included screws, the screws could not be screwed all the way in (see photo), and the interior and exterior parts of the lever were both loose. I called Yale support, and the automated system said that they are very busy and suggested that I press a button on my phone to request that they call me back. I did so, but they did not call me back. Instead, I took some measurements, estimated how long the screws should be, and then bought two M4-0.7 x 16 mm Phillips Pan Head screws at my local Home Depot for $1.30. They worked perfectly, and the rest of the installation went smoothly. The lever works well. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because Yale should have included a second set of screws for 1 3/8" thick doors, or at least included instructions that say something like, "If your door is 1 3/8 inch thick, then you will need to purchase two M4 x 16 mm screws." ... show more

After living with this lock for two weeks, I am happy with it's performance. I did not install the wifi module since I really didn't need it. I just wanted to go keyless and skip the complications of the wifi setup. I wish there were different lever options - I'd prefer a straight lever vs the curved one the unit comes with. Hopefully, Yale reads these reviews and will consider offering lever options in the future. My only (small) complaint with the lock's operation is that if you brush the touchpad face with your sleeve etc, while the lock is open it will lock itself. Kind of annoying when you have the door open and you are moving stuff in and out and you brush the touchpad. Not a big deal and not something that should keep anyone from buying this lock. I would buy another if I needed it. ... show more

Install was smooth. I had a lot of issues with setup and calibration. Seemed to need re-calibration a lot and the codes setup for it wouldn’t always work. After about a week I almost took it off and got a low battery notification. Replaced batteries that came with it and it wanted me to re-register the lock. After that it’s been smooth sailing. Might recommend you just use your own batteries as my best guess is it was running on fumes during setup. ... show more

This is a Yale lock, so I expected a sturdy mechanically sound product, and that’s what I got. This is the least expensive lock in the series, and it does exactly what I wanted, and nothing I didn’t want. It has a key override if the electronics fail or the batteries die. The primary feature I needed was a lock that locks itself once unlocked, and that’s what it does, regardless of how it was unlocked. It can be set to lock between 30 seconds and 3 minutes. The instructions are extremely well done, making the installation easy to get right the first time. Programming was not hard if you follow the instructions. A little expensive, but it’s a Yale, not some Chinese knockoff. Depends how important security is. ... show more

    • Not as great as YRD226-ZW2-619 deadbolt -- No network module included!!!

I had bought a YRD226-ZW2-619 deadbolt and was extremely pleased. I expected to have a similar experience with this one, but not so. First off, this doesn't come with a network module, so you have to pony up $50 more to purchase one. Second, the installation is more painful. The backplate has a spring loaded hook at the bottom that makes it difficult to get the plate flush against the door. I still haven't managed to do that. Thirdly, the UI for adding codes on the lock itself is confusing. The YRD226 speaks out the options that you selected. This one does no such thing. I've managed to accidentally overwrite the master pin and I'm dreading removing the backplate to reset the damn thing. I hate this lock and I'm going to return it once I find a replacement. ... show more

I bought it because I used one at an Air b&b that we stayed at. I have a 15 year old son so the idea of getting rid of a key and using a code was nice. Also the automatic lock feature locks the door 30 seconds after you shut it so he can never forget. I will never come home to an unlocked door. Super easy to install and use. It can hold more than 1 code so everyone remembers. It will be great when I need my neighbor to check on pets at the last Minute. ... show more

Most on the market are auto locking and that did not fit our needs with my autistic daughter. Buttons are nice and setup was not too bad. I did have to widen hole in door so it would fit. Overall I am happy with the purchase.
