Purchased this for the shed, and for a lock not made by any of the big name brands my expectations weren't real high. However i was pleasantly surprised when i unboxed it and felt the quality of it. The quality of the lock, keys, tags etc is right up there with any of the big brand names. Installation was very simple, the holes and latch of my Australian door exactly matched this lock so i did not need to make any alterations to the door frame or door itself except one thing. It says this lock accomodates doors from 35mm to 55mm thick. My door was only 33mm thick, so when the screws were done up it didn't make the inside and outside latches clamp together tight. I could of possibly cut 3mm off the 3 screws and off the square spindle, but i decided to use a thin sheet of plywood. I traced around the big internal rubber grommet to make a plywood backing plate with some screw holes i drilled in it. This sits on the interior side of the door between handle and door. So after getting it installed i setup the TTLock app. No issues with that, and i added the RFID cards, custom pin codes, fingerprints and physical keys. It works perfectly, i absolutely love it. Not having to remember (and loose) keys all the time is so awesome! Also to those few who have said they occasionally have issues with the fingerprints not picking up. Try making 2 or 3 profiles for yourself. So you have Troy 1: Tip of thumb Troy 2: Middle of thumb Troy 3: Base of thumb This way your entire thumb is mapped, and no matter how your thumb lands on the lock it should register. Enjoy! I've been using this smart lock for about 6 months and I am very happy with it. First, it is made robust. It is sturdy. No loose or shaky in any place. The handle still moves smoothly. Second, it has all the key features. 99.9999% of the time, I am using my finger print. This is the best way to unlock and open the door as your left thumb sits right on the fingerprint reader when you hold the handle with left hand (or wise versa if your door opens the other way around). However, a couple of times, I did some rough work with my hands and my finger prints were not easy to ready. In those cases, I have used the mobile app. This third alternative is the small RF cards which can be attached to a key chain. And of course the last resort is the physical key which you can leave a your car as a back up plan in-case batterie die out. Having said that, the lock gives you warnings when the batteries are low. And the last point, this smart lock is very stylish. ... show more

    • Adding admin to the app suddenly costs $50 per year?!

I picked this over other locks because of the ability to add admin (and the IP rating mattered in the final selection). When I first installed the app, I added 2 people as admin to the app and they were able to add their own codes and fingerprints. Then a new roommate moved in and I tried to add them as an admin only to find out that everyone was blocked from being admin all of a sudden and I have to pay $50 per year to add that back on ?!? I hunted through the entire page and cannot find a single mention of a paid plan at all, even where the authorized admin feature is advertised. Such a scam! and it is such a shame as I have 3 other doors I was hoping to add this too ... show more

So we've used this since roughly July of 2022, can't believe it's been that long already. It's always functioned the way it should. The only real issue we are facing is the front appears to be delaminating, it hasn't caused issues with the functionality yet. But I can only imagine it will soon start to effect the functionality of the keypad itself. Not to mention the inevitable exposure to elements that will follow. Otherwise!
