    • I did not believe this glue would work on shoes

I am very familiar with a conventional shoe glue where you apply it to both surfaces, wait for about 15 minutes and press them together. But this glue is a new territory for me. It appears to be of the cyanoacrylate family. Another surprise - it is not made in China, it is a product of Turkey. And this glue is holding unlike many glues of the Chinese origin. At first I could not make the glue flow. The attached nozzle and the spare one did not have a hole through. The included pin could not pierce thick plastic, I ended up drilling a 1 mm hole with a cordless drill. After that the glue started flowing easily. I have repaired several pairs of shoes, one of them had almost completely detached sole. You just have to apply the glue to one side, then press both parts together for about a minute and it is done. It is better to work with small areas, one at a time. This is to make sure you can apply pressure to all points of the seam. I did test my repair by walking a short distance in my shoes after waiting overnight following the repair. This kind of a glue is usually very rigid after drying and shoes need flexible joints. So far the shoes are holding up, but time will tell the whole story. I will update my review some time later. ... show more

This glue works very well. It is thin enough to be able to apply easily and it dries quickly (not instantly) so I can take a few seconds positioning the broken edges together if necessary. I had two items in need of repair that I have been meaning to get around to but the glue I already had on hand was all dried up and I kept forgetting to pick up a new one at the store, so I just kept putting it off. I've been using a fairly thick glue sold in a tube for years with "good enough" results -- certainly not professional looking, but okay for decorative items or to fix a mug with a broken handle well enough that it can be used as a pencil holder or something similar. This glue is a rather light-weight liquid, but it isn't runny and I found it easy to use. I wanted to repair a crack on a ceramic dish and to glue a broken handle back on to a bowl. I worked outside as the instructions state to use this glue with plenty of ventilation. I did use gloves, as recommended and had a mask and glasses ready, although I ended up not using them. I thought it was going to have a very strong odor, but I didn't notice much of anything. I also thought it might be a bit messy, but that was not the case, either. It just took a couple of minutes for both of my repairs since I wasn't trying to do one that requires filling and sanding. For the dish, I simply applied a fine line in and along the crack and let it dry and that was that. Is the crack still visible? Yes, and I can see the clear overlay of smooth, dry glue which doesn't bother me one bit. For the bowl, I applied the glue all along the broken surface on the handle and added just a little dot on a few of the more ragged looking places on the broken edges of the bowl. I held the pieces together for a few minutes, and then left both items to dry overnight. This repair isn't quite as obvious, but a closer look will show the original line of breakage since there are some tiny gaps. And I did allow just a tiny bit drip to form that I didn't notice and wipe away. Both of the repairs seems very strong when I checked them the next day. . I appreciate that the little kit included several fine-tipped nozzles and extra caps so I can replace one that has clogged and I will be less likely to end up with yet another dried up or unusable bottle of glue. What I didn't appreciate so much is that the product packaging is a simple cardboard box that isn't sealed at the top or bottom, so little parts like the pin to fall out, even before opening it. Seriously, the box looks like some of the products my dad bought, back in the 70's. It took me a while to find the pin in the shipping box. When I finally did open the top of the box, a couple of other pieces popped out, too. But I was already at my work table, so they didn't land on the ground and were easy to find. I think an outer plastic sheath would be a good idea. When I finished my tasks, I put everything in a zip-lock baggie to avoid losing anything. I used this glue on a faux leather project. The only issue I had with the glue was getting the tip open. Yes it comes with a tool to open it, but the sharp end is not still in the capsule, so it moves around when trying to get it into the tip the right way. I ended up having to use a safety pin to actually open the tip it comes with. Other than that, this glue is better than super glue. A tight and strong bond-quick. If you get it on your fingers, like I did, quickly rub off with nail polish remover and wash hands. The bottle once opened is easy to use, comes out at a steady rate. There is a bit of an odor, so use it outside. I like that it comes with the different tip and cap applicators. It does say a 12 hour curing period, but trust me this glue sticks fast! ... show more

I used this ceramic glue to rescue a large glazed flower pot that broke in to three pieces due to being blown over during a recent storm. To be honest, I did not expect this glue to work based on my previous experience attempting to repair ceramics with super-glue or epoxy. I was pleasantly surprised how well this worked. The glue is thicker than regular super-glue, it went on easily and bonded almost instantly. Per the instructions, I let the pot sit undisturbed overnight and was amazed how strong the bond was in the morning. The pot looks totally restored; you have to look very closely to see where the cracks are. This is an impressive result and well worth the low price of this glue. The flower pot I repaired is large, over a foot tall, the broken triangle shaped sections comprised about a third of the pot, the cracks stretched top to bottom, the wall thickness was nearly 1/2 inch, the repair required several feet of glue. I was surprised I only used about 1/4 of the 0.7 oz bottle, making this a very economical repair. The glue comes with four “micro-tips” for use on small objects, in addition, two regular size tapered tips and screw-on caps are included. At the time of my review the kit sold for less than $6, which, considering the results, I consider an excellent value. Bottom-line: An economical ceramic glue that performs well. ... show more
