I bought this to replace a wired video doorbell that caused some issues with my home’s built-in wired doorbell system one time and almost burned the house down. Needless to say, I don’t want to touch the wired doorbell for fears of this happening again. So far, this wireless video doorbell has been excellent! It has far exceeded my expectations. For the price, I very much doubt that you can find a better alternative. I’ve installed my own SD card and set the recording time to automatic, with human detection sensitivity set to the middle values. The picture is excellent and the app has a great layout once you get comfortable with it. If you’re looking for a wireless doorbell with great battery life, great picture, good night vision, that’s easy to install either permanently with screws or adhesive only (good for renters like me), then this is the one in my opinion! (Oh I almost forgot, the connection to my wifi is excellent and the setup took about 1 minute, too easy!) I’m not getting paid for this review and I bought the product myself out of my own pocket. I recently bought this doorbell cam and I'm very impressed with it, especially for the price point. It was quite easy to install. I wasn't sure how well the sticker would work since those things are usually 50/50 on how good they are so I used the screws to attach the camera to my house. Didn't take long at all & then I set the camera angle how I wanted it, also super easy. I finished charging the camera before attaching it permanently & it didn't take too long actually. The camera was over 80% charged when it arrived so it took under an hour to reach 100%. I tested it out a few different ways to make sure the motion detection was spot on and it was. That evening, when it got dark, I made sure to check the camera's feed and it's super crisp and clear. I can even see clearly to where my car's parked so that's great. You can see someone pretty clearly in night vision. I did have to adjust the motion sensor settings in the app to help remove false notifications but that didn't take long and it'll also save some battery life. Now, onto the battery life. I can't speak for how long I will have before it needs recharging as I've only owned the camera for 4 days as of this review but in that 4 days it's still at 70% charge. I'm not going with the paid subscription option but I did install a micro SD card into the camera and that connected easily. You have to format the card first though- just a head's up for you. All in all, this is a well built camera, it has the settings I need and best of all, no subscription required to have the good features, unlike other camera doorbells and security systems. ... show more

This doorbell is truly amazing!! I moved and use to have a ring, SUCH A UPGRADE!!! It’s sleek looking and fancy! All The features it has with the app, and chime is impressive and mind blowing for such a cheap price compared to competitors. The stand that hold it to the wall has a security screw under it to prevent theft, and the holder can be angled any way. The chime it comes with is convenient to put in the bedroom. The battery last so long! And you don’t have to buy a subscription or extra fees, just buy an SD card and it records. Seriously I could go on and on! SO IMPRESSED 1000 stars!!! ... show more

I bought this really taking a chance on something that wasn't an expensive ring camera. And it's been about a week and I have to say I'm very pleased with this product. My only downfall is having to wipe off the camera in the morning from the morning dew but that takes .5 seconds and you're good. As a woman living alone i feel a better sense of security with this to monitor my surroundings. Not to mention the extremely clear picture! And it's just as clear on night vision mode. I love how the call button literally calls and allows for real time 2 way audio. Even if this product wasn't discounted I'd still buy it knowing what I know about it now. ... show more

I have had this XTU doorbell camera for over a month now. I purchased it because there was not a need for a monthly subscription fee and I can still tap into it live, get alerts when there is motion detected and talk through it from my phone. You can access recordings of events also as long as you have or purchase an SD card separately. If you want cloud storage you of course need to pay for that monthly, but I didn't need that feature. The alerts are customizable and you can also change the mounting angle on the bracket for better positioning and lock it into place.
