Setting up the camera was a breeze. Stuck it to the wall with the included adhesive, downloaded the app, and bam - I was watching my porch from the throne. The video quality is awesome. Just make sure you have a good WiFi signal where you mount it, as it only connects to 2.4GHz WiFi; it does NOT support 5GHz WiFi. We're talking crystal clear 2K resolution, day or night (thanks to the night vision). Plus, the human detection feature is a lifesaver. No more getting spammed with alerts every time a squirrel runs by. Another thing I love is the rechargeable battery. It makes placement super flexible. I got the perfect view of my doorstep without needing to worry about finding an outlet. Battery life is great too, even with all the activity detection which usually drains my Ring. Recharging with the USB-C cable is a snap. Speaking of activity detection, the alerts are super fast. Like, seconds after something happens, I get a notification on my phone with a picture. Plus, it shows up on my Apple Watch too, which is handy. The two-way audio is a nice touch as well. I can chat with delivery people or scare off any weirdos lurking around. Let's not forget the chime! It's got adjustable volume and even different chime tones to choose from. Bonus: it has a built-in siren that's surprisingly loud for its size. Perfect for startling anyone unwanted. The XTU Doorbell Camera also works seamlessly with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, adding another layer of convenience to your smart home setup. Overall, the XTU Doorbell Camera is a steal. It's got all the features you need, plus some extras that make it way more convenient and secure than my old Ring Video Doorbell. I am a long-time user of the Ring Doorbell cameras, having installed/used them for more than 4 years at my home, my parents’ home, and at my workplace. The cameras work fine, but as a geek-head, I am always on the lookout for a newer, improved version of things that I am already using. Let’s get to the XTU Doorbell Camera Wireless. It has all the standard features you would expect from a device of this class, including 2K video resolution, two-way audio, human detection, and local and cloud storage options. Installation was a breeze. I downloaded the app and linked it with the camera within 2 minutes. It was that simple. The 2K video resolution offers clear footage, allowing you to monitor your entryway with precision. Whether it's daytime or nighttime, the night vision feature ensures that you won't be blinded in low-light conditions. Additionally, the human detection feature minimizes false alarms, notifying you only when it detects activity from a person, not from passing cars or animals. The two-way audio functionality adds a layer of convenience and security. Whether you're at home or away, you can communicate with visitors in real-time, deterring potential intruders or simply instructing delivery personnel where to leave packages. Being battery-powered means that you'll need to periodically recharge the batteries by plugging in a USB-C power source. The device is weatherproof. Had a much more expensive doorbell camera that refused to work for me after multiple tries. Sent it back and bought this one. It was easy to install and worked right away. Good camera picture and sound. I only wish there was a way to get a pop up picture when the doorbell rings instead of having to go into the app to see who is at the door. If there is a way I still haven't figured it out yet.🤔 Good value for the money. Not sure about the battery life yet as it has only been 1 week. ... show more
