First-off - I don't have enough words to praise how awesomely built this product is. The Red color makes it look better than any other competitor in the market. Now coming to the review part. I am hoping this review will not be taken in negative way, even though I am going to only mention the downside of using it. However, these downside only applies to New Users. OKAY - so you are super impressed with what you can do with laser cutters/engravers, have seen bunch of cool videos from professionals on Youtube and now you think 'I CAN DO THIS'. Well - Here is the REALITY CHECK 1. This tool has a huge learning curve around measurements. If you have struggled your whole life until now between Inch, CM, mm - Do Not Buy this product. Everything is Manual. Some might say semi-automatic, but again; if you struggle with measurements - this product won't make it easy for you 2. No Camera - This goes back to point#1, since the tool does not have projection camera to capture image of the item you plan to cut or engrave, there is a possibility of a lot of errors and waste of material. 3. Assembly - Although, I will say assembly is super-easy. There is a possibility that someone might tighten the belt too much resulting in error, or break the delicate wire connector or even worst, drop the lens. If you do buy it - just look at the assembly video on YouTube and avoid instruction manual. So What Should You Do? Save some money and buy - xTool M1 10w. WHY? Well - because it is ready to use out of the box. It has a camera to capture the material image and project your design on it. This is so insanely awesome, that you can literally design things with minimal mathematical calculations. Who should use this tool? If you know your stuff, have been engraving for a while - This is a very economic product and will do the job just as fine as xTool M1 10w. xTool - If you make these distinctions clear in your product comparisons, I think it will reduce the number of returns and exchanges will happen.     • Just what I hoped for, excellent product
Bought this as an entry level product to see how well I could learn to use. The construction and the set up are so easy! Within 30 minutes of unboxing, I had already done several nice quality test burns to include a picture. The included software is very good to learn on though I did upgrade to Lightburn SW for more precise controls and options. Already have upped my game in wood working and allowed me to do more quality-controlled engraving on multiple projects. Will look to upgrade the laser in the future as I get more comfortable but the 10W laser that was included does everything I ask of it without fail. I will mention that I added the air accessory which helped with fumes and keeps the laser head much cleaner. Xtool D! is an outstanding laser for both beginners and professionals!. ... show more

I purchased this machine and was intimidated by it at first. Owning plotters like the Silhouette and Cricut, I thought this would be over my head. It was NOT! I had my husband put it together and that Christmas I made ornaments for my bosses at work that were a great hit! I used it to make tressels for my husband's trains and to engrave photos for his platform. I made myself a ton of earrings that are one a kind! I made many decor items for my house and I am thrilled beyond measure with this machine. I know I have not reached it's capibilites! I purchased the 10W and when I saww the 20W laser module on sale I bought that and it fit right on my machine and I have been cutting with that for a couple weeks now. I will say one thing I had a small issue with the 10W module, it suddenly stopped. It would run the design route but not beam was coming out. I reached out to customer service, they asked for a video of what was happening and they immediate sent me a brand new replacement. Now that is customer service!     • WASTED OVER $1,000.00
The media could not be loaded. 6 weeks after purchasing this product, the laser module stopped firing. I contacted Customer Service, sent a video, and spent hours troubleshooting the product, alone, as instructed. The problem still existed. I reached back out to CSR and they responded with another troubleshooting article. The problem still occurred. Every time I call customer service, I am told that someone will email me. Every time I am emailed, I am told to read another troubleshooting article. I am only receiving responses once per day, around midnight or in the middle of the morning. I am not able to directly communicate with anyone other than the answering service/CSR that constantly tells me that the issue will be forwarded, and I will be emailed. The machine is defective. Customer service is not effective, and every day that this machine is down, I am losing money. The warranty that was purchased from Amazon doesn't start until after the manufactures warranty has ended….SO, I can’t return this unless I pay a restocking fee. And, in my case since it’s been over 30 days, I will have to pay them a 30% "Restocking Fee". I really feel stuck and frustrated right now. I truly expected better. Hopefully this issue will be resolved before I lose any more customers. Meanwhile, I will be here waiting until midnight for a response from a representative that may or may not tell me to read another troubleshooting article… ... show more
