It's been over a week and the color look like it did the 1st day. We bleached virgin curly hair the night before; then we washed it and conditioned it and then used a curl conditioning treatment overnight. That morning we washed it and dried to apply on clean hair. We managed to do a single bleaching because her hair only needed to lift a few shades. Her curl pattern remained, thankfully, but we made sure to use specific curlr-targeted treatment. You can see she has long, curly, layered hair past her shoulders; I had just trimmed like an inch or two and the single tub of xmondo color was **barely** enough for her entire head. On a fresh new color I would've loved another small handful to smooth into the top of her head. Considering we needed THREE ENTIRE KITS of bleach for her hair, having just enough inin a single tub of color was impressive. #ThanksBradMondo I bought a 2nd tub so she has a freshly done color for Easter, but I think it'll be enough since she has one done as the base color already. The texture of the color in the tub is great... it's like pudding or custard. You can scoop it with your hands or a spoon and the hair just grasps onto it as you blend it in. It smells heavenly but it's not overwhelming or perfumed. It's a really nice neutral scent. So we had time to do color in the a.m. before her program. As I said, we washed & dried to apply on CLEAN hair, so while it processed she got ready with breakfast, making lunch, finding clothes, and then rinsed and I put the curl treatment in again and used a diffuser. Her hair is so soft and the only fading after a week looks like a few highlights of purple but it's still dark & pretty. She gets compliments constantly. Color: Super Purple
I love this product but even if you follow all appropriate hair instructions for vibrant color the first wash (72 hours later) loses more than 50% of total color. The cost does not equal better quality or duration of color. Product would be a lot better and worth it if it was under $20.00 a container but $27 before tax is too much for a temporary color when even manic panic, Raw, Special Effect, Arctic Fox, Unicorn Hair, and Leopard color dyes are more effective for less of a cost. ... show more

I mixed this into a blend of green shades I use to color my hair to help cancel out some yellow tones in my hair and it works so well! I’ve used other xmondo colors and I’m never disappointed. I leave it in my hair for over an hour under a shower cap and it treats my hair like a deep conditioning mask. My hair feels amazing after every use, and the color lasts so long! I wash my hair almost daily so yes, it fades eventually and will bleed out in the shower a little at a time, but if you don’t wash your hair as often (or use cold water vs warmer water) it definitely lasts longer. It washes off of my skin way easier than other color brands, doesn’t stain my tub or skin and the smell is so good!! My hair feels amazing after using it so it’s a win-win in my mind! ... show more

My daughter is a natural red head and mean ol’ mom won’t let her bleach her hair so we are always trying to find something to use that will come up on her hair.. So far this is her favorite color! And the smell is AMAZING! It is THICK THICK.. hard to use the brush to get to the roots but we managed.. And it does feel SUPER greasy.. I’m hoping after a few washes it will go away.. but it looks very nice! I’m purchasing another one since I missed a few spots when I ran out.. my daughter has A LOT of hair and it almost did her whole head.. I definitely recommend this product! The color just doesn’t stick and I don’t know why. As instructed, I applied the color on clean hair (one time recently washed, another time washed two days ago), sections and generous amounts of it, two different times in a span of a month and a half. And nothing. The color even holds onto dear life on my gray hair, which I have quite a bit of. It surprised me how washed out it looks already on those white strands. Since it smells nice and makes my hair feel nice, I will use the rest of the product, and then go back to black box dye. Sorry, Brand Mondo… 😀 HAIR 2C and 3A, used box dye on it before, but now have about 10-15 cm regrowth in my original mousy gray brown and dirty blonde hair (yep, I know, my genes are weird and I have a mix of both). In this case the end color with the product on should’ve been dark blue-gray-sih, which was my intention… Hair length is somewhere around the middle of my shoulder blades, only applied to regrowths, tho. I use a mix of CGM and non-CGM products, but used none to wash the product out of my hair, only lukewarm water. PRODUCT SPECS The texture is kinda like a mask or conditioner, not really runny, holds nicely to the brush. Smells amazing, applies easily, kinda dries out after a while when on your hair, doesn’t crumble. It doesn’t stain the skin as other products do, but still make sure to wear gloves. I didn’t when washing it out and now my hand looks like I crushed a few Smurfs for breakfast. I used the product twice generously and still have half of it left. I wish the container would have a lock lid or a plastic wrap on it, because it arrived with the lid unscrewed. Thankfully the logistics were gentle with it and it didn’t spill inside the box. But that doesn’t mean everybody is gonna be that lucky. ... show more
