Good lighter, worked for me but you have to know how to refill the butane. If you don't see any liquid sloshing around in the reservoir, your lighter is empty and will not light. To refill it you have to flip it over, and press the butane (long nozzled version) into it. If the butane starts spilling and after making an attempt of 1-2 seconds there is still nothing in the reservoir, you haven't filled it. You have to use the nozzle tip FOUND IN THE CAP OF THE BUTANE REFILL CAN. I tried different sizes, the one that worked for me is the #1 (smallest nozzle tip). After using that you should be fine, hope this helps. ... show more

    • Not a pocket lighter
So I haven't had it very long actually just received it today got it full of fuel got working so far seems to be pretty nice I had a feeling it wouldn't work for a pocket later the lever on the side to open it and all I just I think that's going to catch on stuff in my pocket potentially open and ignite it still otherwise pretty nice it'll probably come like a car lighter or out on the porch something like that still seems well made got some have to it seems to work pretty good so far only kind of issue I have with it is with the gauge on the back to see how much fuels in it it's there's it's just difficult to see where the line is might be partially the lighting but I've had others that have a different color or something in the background cuz it's basically just silver behind gunmetal and I can't really tell a difference between the outside of the lighter and the inside of the viewing window so that's one thing that it might be okay in sunlight but right now under a lamp it's difficult to see otherwise seems like a nice lighter looking forward to using it and enjoying it ... show more

This is a really nice lighter and it works like the pictures show. Pull down on the lever with your thumb and it pops up the cap and lights the lighter. I have refilled mine several times so far and I have not had any issues. The striker can be removed to replace the flint when that gets worn down but I haven't had to replace mine yet since I bought it. Refill is pretty straightforward, turn upside down, place nozzle against input and press. There is a little window on the side that shows how much liquid you have left in the lighter and that actually does help a lot so you don't have to guess how many more uses you have left on it. My only gripe is the branding on the side is pretty big. The branding on the side fades with time but the paint doesn't. I like to wait at minimum 6 months before I review a product, here's my take! Pro's - Feels good in the hand - Functional and reliable - Unique design - Backup cigar punch - Large fuel window Con's - Finish wear's easily - Flame adjustment's can be finicky Okay, so a bit more in-depth explanation. Personally, I love the way the lighter feels in my hand it's in the goldilocks area for me. The lighter is really reliable for me, I switched from Ronsonol butane to XiKar Purofine and it works even better and ignites on the first click. It's a unique design and is a conversation starter at the cigar lounge, which is always fun. The backup cigar punch is really awesome and very sharp, I have found myself forgetting my cutter and it makes life a bit easier to have a backup. The fuel window is really big as is it's capacity. In my experience, it will last 4 people smoking 2 cigars for 2 trips (hopefully that makes sense). The con's are significantly less, especially at the price I really can't complain in the slightest. I abuse the gear I use, so my finish wear is worse but that's a non-issue for me. I find that occasionally the jet will adjust without me messing with it, so it can be a little finicky. You can adjust it with a fingernail, so again for me its a non-issue. Overall, definitely would recommend the lighter if you want something cheap, reliable and unique.
