I like the settings available to customize. The overall effect works however there are definitely some cons to consider that may or may not apply to your situation. We have floor seating for our family room where this is located. The top location of heater elements seemed like a great idea in theory after reading reviews noting how the lower versions were easy to block (πŸ”₯ hazard), accidentally touch, and other various feedback. In my situation the lower level would have been a better fit as the height means sitting at our table the hot air flow is Above our heads and since heat rises, we stay rather cold until the full room warms up. In addition our rental has old style tiles to mimic natural stone which means there's some "texture" and not every stone is level flat. I've found the hard way the heater may start quietly but after some time it can start making noises. After many different troubleshooting efforts I realized the heating element area was vibrating when the unit was tilted to any degree. I don't mean simply the legs weren't level (where you could shift it around like an uneven chair at a restaurant) but if the legs were all level however the angle of the unit wasn't 100% flat (think leveler you'd use to check your washing machine was level on all 4 corners so it doesn't rock/move) then you eventually get a weird noise that no one wants to hear from something throwing out hot air into a room full of flammable items. I don't like/am not very impressed by the lower heat setting, the air is not very warm, I'd go so far as to say it didn't feel like it was more than body temp which feels like "lukewarm" bath. No one wants to pay for anything lukewarm. Otherwise, the high setting gives great heat, though it doesn't push "out" very far so if you enjoy a heater that hits you with warm air as it warms up the room this might not be the unit for you. LOVE the sturdy legs, made of metal and they feel like they'll last assuming you aren't a shifter that likes to "scootch" furniture instead of picking it up to move it. Love the dimming and light color options, it's nice to have choices that can accommodate what else is happening in the room (I.E. dim light so it doesn't mess with my dark horror movie room vibe when watching scary movies 😎) The remote option is Great. Yes it didn't reach as far as I'd like but not having to open the swing doors every time you wanna change a setting is such a simple joy you can't really explain but totally appreciate that little bit extra laziness on the weekends. πŸ˜… Overall, I'm keeping it. I'm a renter so the floor thing won't be an issue once I move and I love it more than I hate the shortcomings. Feedback to the makers, I think some side covering so dust can't get into the inside as easy would be great. The front had glass in the doors but the side metal areas are open and I have to open the doors to dust weekly as the plastic screen the fire effect shows on is black and a dust magnet! Not the end of the world, just nice to make it a little easier to maintain with less internal dusting needed. *Pro tip, use a soft cloth to dry wipe down the inside outside once a week to prevent dust accumulation! ... show more

I sat in front of it for a few minutes, tried the heater and it was very warm.
