These are great, but you have to be very careful. Drill torques up and can really hurt you. You can't be a sissy to use this tool! Just being honest 😂. I modified mine.

I really wanted this to work, but it does not. It immediately gets stuck in any type log you try to split and I mean stuck like you need a hammer or another splitter to get it out. And you can reverse because it just unscrews. Bad design, bad idea, bad product. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Most dangerous tool I've ever used. Does not work properly, bit gets stuck in wood and spins out of control. Just use an axe or hatchet. Do not recommend

If you take too big of a bite in the wood, the bit gets stuck. When you try to back it out, the stem comes unscrewed and the wedge stays in the wood.

The wood gets stuck and spins around twisting your arm around with it. Looks so easy on the video. Nope! Very disappointed.

I tried to split a piece of wood with this item using my 1/2" VSR drill. I used a low speed to get the splitter started, but when I increased the speed the splitter suddenly seized and stuck in the wood, and the drill was twisted violently out of my hand, nearly injuring my wrist. The torque also spun the wood, causing it to strike my knee and raise a bad bruise. Attached is a picture of the splitter jammed into the wood - I had to resort to using a pipe wrench to get it out because the bit will unscrew if it is reversed. I do not recommend this for hand drills! If you have an electric splitter with a motor on a frame, it might be OK, but DO NOT try to use it with a hand drill! ... show more
