  • Good pressure, nice machine for the money.
Style: 3400 Max PSI Pattern Name: Pressure Washer
Unit came when expected, packed well to prevent damage. just some minor assembly, maybe 15 min, Put oil in and gas and was ready to go. Big wheels make it easy to move around too. I did purchase a 90 degree garden hose fitting so hose could run straight out the back instead of to side , just makes it easier to hook up and when moving unit around. IMO. Pleasantly surprised to see how much pressure it has. Much better than my old unit. I bought an extra 25 ft pressure hose along with a wheeled washer cover to do my concrete driveway. It worked great. I did my 2600 sq ft drive way which was nearly black with dirt etc.. it took about 4-5 hrs and used 2 tanks of gas. Couldn't have been happier. Machine comes with built in soap tank and all the different jets for different spray patterns. I would definitely recommend this for the DYI homeowner. ... show more

  • Fantastic Pressure Washer
Style: 3400 Max PSI Pattern Name: Pressure Washer
At the beginning of 2023 I decided I wanted to buy a pressure washer. I have never owned one or been in possession of one, so I was completely new to this. I bought the WPX3400. The engine is pretty straightforward. There's a dedicated off switch, a choke/run toggle, and fuel off/on switch. On either side of the base of the engine where the block meets the wheel axle/frame are oil intakes. One is a bit more accessible than the other. The engine itself runs well. The pull start is smooth: if you haven't run it in a bit, it'll usually start within 4 pulls assuming everything is set correctly. If you have to shut it off midway and restart, it almost always starts on the first pull. I make an effort to keep it as clean as I can, and always out of the way of the sprayer. A full tank will take you pretty far in this as well. Just regular 87 gas. I did my whole concrete driveway and patio which hadn't been cleaned since it was poured. The difference is significant. I also did the concrete patio and some stone blocks at my other house, and also used it to quickly and effectively jet out the septic system of this houze with an aftermarket set of nozzles and hose. Again, worked wonders. The provided nozzles cover a good range of uses, from car cleaning to wood, vinyl siding, all the way up to very strong and narrow beams, which I don't really know what you would be spraying with that wouldn't be destroyed or seriously damaged. The broader nozzles do great for concrete and vinyl and softer targets. I have noticed that my hand will cramp after prolonged use of the sprayer gun. I always wear gloves but sometimes it can be taxing on the hand since it does shake and recoil a bit. I've had two instances where I've had to troubleshoot the machine. First, I suspect it may have run out of oil. It was running normally then just kinda sputtered out. I checked the oil, but I thought it was fine based on the indicator stick. Still, I topped it off, and it came back on with no issues. I'm not sure if the oil was the solution there. Another time, I noticed that the washer wasn't getting a consistent output flow of water. I had two garden hoses daisy chained together with an adapter between the two. One hose had a rigid body, and the other hose was one of the expanding/contracting hoses. After troubleshooting for a bit, I found that the fact that these hoses were connected and leading into the washer caused some sort of problem with the water flow. After setting it up so that there was only one hose leading into the machine, the problem seemed to have resolved itself. I found it odd that for all of the times I used this washer before in tandem with the shrinking/expanding hose, I never had any issues. I am still scratching my head over that. I also bought a set of extending poles for the washer, however I was not able to use them to their full potential because I could not connect them to the gun. The gun has an M22-14mm swivel port where the wand attaches. Keep this in mind if you have any accessories you plan on using with this, or consider an aftermarket sprayer gun, which might offer a more ergonomic handhold. To summarize, this thing is a champ. It's run reliably since I started using it in February when I first got it. I was jumping out and doing some practice runs in between bouts of non-freezing weather to dial it in. I used it last week to un-cake the pollen and sap on my car, which also did an excellent job. If the idea of buying one has been on your mind, this is a fantastic and well rounded option. It's decently powerful in terms of the PSI/GPM ratio, which I considered one of the more important traits of a pressure washer. Gas engines just run better compared to the inconsistency from electrical/battery variants. You're going to find yourself wanting to use this very frequently. ... show more

  • Great Pressure Washer
Style: 3400 Max PSI Pattern Name: Pressure Washer
We chose this pressure washer because of the reviews. So far so good! Very easy to assemble. Works as expected. It was easy to clean our cement driveway. Great pressure. The large wheels make it easy to move around as needed without being too heavy. Seems worth the money!

  • Works fine, but jammed within a day
Style: 3200 Max PSI Pattern Name: Pressure Washer
Received faster than expected and was easy to assemble. Nothing missing, well packaged, and the instructions were clear. It seems pretty well laid-out, and it started on the first pull. Not too loud, and it handles well. Did the job, and a good value. On the second day, I pulled the starter handle: and the pull rope jammed up. I had to disassemble (5 bolts, not a big deal) to free it up, and then it started fine. It doesn't feel like a cheap machine - but that experience might intimidate some people. 5 stars - if it weren't for that little mishap. ... show more

  • Works Great - Read for a few recommendations
Style: 3200 Max PSI Pattern Name: Pressure Washer
Our old power washer gave out and we wanted a new one so I set out to research the best options. I quickly decided I didn't want an electric or battery power washer due to lower performance/power. I wanted one with PSI in the 2700-3400 range based on the jobs we would use it for (deck, fence, sidewalk, driveway, house and maybe cars). After researching it came down to a 2700psi or 3200psi Westinghouse or a Sampson power washer. Consumer Guides led me to the Sampson options as they raved about their quality, build level, durability and performance. The price was a little higher, but I wanted something I could rely on for years. However, as I read customer reviews I was surprised at how many 1 star reviews there was for the Sampson model I was considering. Plus, the bad reviews were almost all consistent with a terrible Kohler engine and a pump that fell apart too soon. I know all products will have 1 star reviews (this Westinghouse did as well), but 8% 1 star reviews on the Sampson with every complaint pointing to the same two key parts (engine and pump), plus horrible customer service reviews when people tried to get a brand new or nearly new unit repaired were just more than I was willing to deal with. So, I chose the Westinghouse since the 1 star reviews were only about 2% and the 4 and 5 star reviews were much higher. I did find that some people complained about the unit coming broken and not being able to return it to Amazon. However, Amazon was very clear that while you can't return the item you can get a refund or replacement if it comes broken. Some reviews had a broken/cracked gas tank or other shipping issues so I quickly decided that was not a worry for me and that I would pout it together and inspect it right away to make sure it didn't arrive broken or defective. It didn't and the assembly was quite easy with set up instructions and the parts each in their own bag that was labeled so you knew what bag/item to involve according to the instructions. Within 30 minutes I had the unit together and power washing. I will say that after reading the reviews I found some great tips that we decided to follow. First, we went to Ace Hardware and purchased a connector with a 60 degree angle so that the garden water hose that brought water into the unit didn't rub or rest against the wheel. I agree that this is a design flaw as the input valve is in the back of the unit just inside the back left tire and instead of pointing back away from the power washer it points directly towards the right side of the unit and the right tire. After reading a couple other reviews that suggested getting a connector with a 45-90 angle we purchased one with a 60 degree angle so that the hose then angled backwards away from the power washer and didn't rest or touch the right tire at all. Others had expressed that not doing this had led to their garden hose getting a hole worn in it by resting on the tire as the unit vibrated. The other suggestion that we did was to zip tie the power washer hose to the frame on the right handle right after where it attaches to the unit. Otherwise the hose comes out and runs right near the muffler that gets very hot. Customers had described how their hose touched the muffler and melted. A zip tie easily fixed this so that was not a concern at all and zip tying it didn't hinder the performance of the hose at all. We washed our large (20x12) Trex deck and 14 stairs leading from the deck to the yard, plus a rectangle table, 6 chairs, deck rail and our Traeger grill/cover all in about 30 minutes. Everything looked great and you could see the dirt easily wash off after a full fall and winter of not being cleaned. My wife even tested it on the side of the house and the concrete by the bottom of the stairs and it did great there, too. It's great that it comes with multiple easy exchange nozzles that also clip right into the power washer tray by the handle so they don't get lost. We've only used it once, but it worked great and was more powerful than our previous one. The 5 included nozzles will be able to handle every job we will want to do. So far we couldn't be happies and are glad we chose the Westinghouse model. ... show more
