  • Hot wood burning stove!
The media could not be loaded. I picked up the large square Winnerwell wood burner. I tested it out and it gets so hot in the tent it melted a chocolate candy bar laying on the floor of the tent 15 feet away from it. I had to keep the door open to vent out some of the heat so I didn't cook myself to death. Ha, the glass didn't break on initial fire up. I gradually added my wood to it and later filled it up. A little slight wave on the left side wall that has no glass. Nothing to worry about as it is nothing serious. You can see on my vent pipe how hot it was. I adjusted the damper down as the vent pipe began to glow. Very hot! This product is functional however normally vent pipe connects wide end down and smaller end up to the stack. Strangely the venting is opposite. This is just odd to me as for the draft as you don't want areas to collect soot. Kinda like dryer ventilation as it will build up lint in the crevices. The spark arrestor is too tight and can clog up with soot and cause you to get carbon monoxide poisoning if you don't keep an eye on it. A clogged vent can cause drafting issues and start venting combustibles back into your tent. Very dangerous! You must clean your flue every day or every other day. All I had was pine so it burns dirty. I'm looking at getting a different style flue cap as this could become a life threatening problem. In the morning I had to brush it off. See photo. Other than the venting is feeds its purpose. Intended for Brandon's dark winter... Update 9/10/23 The stove is still working great. I did ditch the spark arrestor as it clogs up very quickly. I removed the screen from the sleeve and added a 3" duravent high wind cap. I don't load up this stove with a ton of wood as it can become so unbelievably hot! If you get this cap you will need to take channel locks and flatten the lock indents so that it slips on the existing spark arrestor sleeve. This is just a aluminum high wind cap. I will leave a video. Have a great day! ... show more

  • Love the product and customer service
I did enough research on Amazon, on Youtube, etc. My goal is to burn lots of logs/twigs accumulated on my yard. I started with looking at $<100 level products then $200 level products, not sure they burn logs. Ended up with the Nomad small $350, then took a long time evaluating between small and large. It is indeed $100 difference for a side-glass view. But I am really glad I got the large view. Only burned a couple of times, but loved it from the first time. The view worth this additional $100. It is beautiful to sit by it and watch. It is large enough to put in some lager logs so suits my purpose very well. Also have to mention about the customer service. The side view glass cracked after my first burn, maybe I burned it too hot and too long? It was on full high fire for about 4 hours, when night came even the stove body seemed to be red hot...... I expect the glass would still be strong but it cracked when I went to check it the next day. Customer service was very quick to send me a replacement, this was broken into pieces due to the mailman. A second replacement came in today without damage, also very quick turn-around time, I am totally super happy about this produce and the services. An update: now I've used it probably 10 times. Still love it. But I feel this feedback might be useful for the manufacturer: one consideration I bought it was for the opening on top, which you can put a pot and let the open fire touch. But when you do that, if you keep air flowing through the chimney, all flame and heat would go towards to chimney end. So heat on the opening end does not seems to be enough. So, this opening could be moved to the chimney end, hopefully that'll give more heat? or in the right middle? Also, on Amazon I tried but wasn't able to get a good and nice pot stand to sit the pot yet. One I got is almost 1.5 inch tall, one centimeter would be sufficient and nice, to keep less heat flowing out. PS: did someone asked about the size of the top opening? it's 6 inches, I added a phone of it with a ruler. ... show more

  • It's not an ultralight, but it's awesome for basecamp!
This is my first tent stove, but dang I love it!!! It's very sturdy, easy to setup, and easy to carry if you buy it's companion bag. It is throws out good heat and kept my Whiteduck canvas tent nice and toasty! It's also able to fit some good size logs. Overall I've tested it in mild conditions for a couple of weeks, but I'll be testing it in extreme cold this winter 2023, so I'll update this review when I do! Uhm...if I don't update the review means' I didn't make it...might want to get you another tent stove...or not go out in -40 temps :P ... show more

  • On my 3rd season.
Im on my 3rd season now with it. It’s an awesome stove. It is a little bit over kill for the OneTigris Rock Fortress tent im using it in. We have to Unzip the upper part of both doors in the tent to let some hot air out and cool air in. Just got back from a hunting trip and it got down to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit. This is not cheap metal on this stove it is well built. I had to buy a few 6 inch attachment pipes because the spark arrestor was too close to my tent a a few sparks put tiny holes in the tent.. not a big deal the have patches that will seal those holes up but Nomad winnerwell hasn’t had any 12 inch attachment pipes that are 3.5 inch in stock lately. I like to purchase 3 additional 12 inch pipes. AWESOME STOVE ... show more

  • Very pleased with this, great for warmth and cooking on
A little heavier than expected but it is still easy to carry short distances. It is pretty sturdy too but on of the legs were slightly bend when it came in so it was difficult to open it all the way. The stove puts out a lot of heat when you have a good fire and it is great to cook on. This is a must buy if you like to be in outdoor shelters ... show more

  • Great stove. Satisfied customer.
Great product and great service. When I first used the stove, the large side window glass cracked and shattered as the stove warmed up. I’m not sure if there was a material flaw, but I was able to get ahold of the manufacturer through Amazon and they promptly mailed a replacement piece of tempered glass which was very easy to reinstall. No questions asked and they serviced my request and had the shipping label made by the next day. It’s great product made by a service-oriented company. ... show more
