  • Camping is so much easier!
I've always cooked over a fire on our camping trips - fun but a little tedious and time intensive. Finally caved in and bought this Triton stove...SO glad I did! It's lightweight, packs up & sets up easily, cleaning is as simple as wiping down, and it cooks well/quickly. Some reviewers mention issues with controlling the flame but I found it to be very adjustable for lower flame although you do need to get eye level with the burner to gauge it. The burner knobs don't work like your stove at home where you can use markings to get the same level flame (knobs also point differently to get same flame across right and left burners). But that's a minor inconvenience to have a stove that heats water so quickly and is so convenient to use overall. I got the model without the ignition button and don't regret it at all - not really worth painting extra 20 bucks for a button that's likely to break when you can just use a long lighter (which we always bring with us camping anyway). Definitely worth every penny and would recommend! ... show more

  • Great stove. Excellent pricing on Prime
Great stove. Excellent pricing on Prime. Don't bother looking for the old model, you will be sent the new one- this one. Don't worry about this one being inferior to the old one. It's not. The burners do run hot, but gently turn them and get used to them. Simmering works, it will just simmer fast. We love the size or footprint, also that the griddle (despite the price) fits perfectly and we also have the cover for it. That fits perfectly too. Used one fuel canister over 3 days, not bad. Attaching the fuel line or stem on the stove and fuel can is not an issue, just be careful, don't wrench it. If you want a good, simple and well priced (offered by Amazon/Prime) you can't go wrong. If you are looking for the older ones "that you grew up with" as far a build quality- good luck, keep your memories because any brand and model today is not the same. This is a good stove and excellent value. Happy camping. ... show more

  • Fuel-efficient Stove and burner fix to get very low flame
This Coleman Triton stove worked very well for me. It started right up and cooked like a charm. It seems to be economical on fuel too. I cooked on it 5 times for about half an hour each time (including boiling water for coffee and dishes) and didn't even use up one propane 1 lb. canister. I did the burner fix mentioned on U-Tube so I could get a really low flame and when I tried it again, I had much better control over the burners. Now I can get a really low flame for simmering. I was surprised at all the gunky black grease on the valve stem because this was a brand new stove. I wiped it all off and put on a light coat of silicone spray. Now I get full control over the burners from barely visible to full on. Many people have mentioned in their reviews that the burners were either on or off with very low flame impossible. So if you're having trouble getting a very low flame, try this fix. It works! ... show more

  • Excellent Stove in every regard - except for simmer
I use this stove to fix roadside meals on long drives, as well as on the sailboat I live on. It is durable, efficient, easy to clean, relatively wind resistant, lightweight, portable, and just dang handy. My only gripe is the simmer. In one quarter-turn of the dial, the stove is on full blast. Which means the simmer range is within the quarter-turn between Off and Fully Open. But simmering is possible, and works well. It's just a challenge to get the perfect level. ... show more

  • Good Service
It works. Unlike many other reviewers, I find the "perfectflow" valves to work well. We never had any problems getting a low, high, or in-between flame from ours. I find the wind deflectors that fold from the back to be an awkward design. You have to open the lid very far back to get them open, which is a problem if there's not a lot of space around. I also find mounting the tank on the side often puts it in the way, and unlike others, there does not seem to be a flexible hose attachment available. There is a hole for inserting the regulator inside the stove when not in use, but no cli[ to hold it in place so it just bounces around all crazy and noisy. A handle would be nice, too. I find the thin stamped metal parts flimsy and cheap. This stove is nowhere near the quality of the Coleman one's we used in Boy Scouts when I was growing up. So it goes, I guess. Overall, for as flimsy as it is, it works. Why then, with all my complaints, do I give it 5 stars? Read on... So we used it all weekend for about once or twice a month since purchase in September '16. February of '18 I go to screw the regulator on like usual and hear a 'snap' inside. I am unable to screw the regulator on, rendering the stove useless. I was mad because I figured it was just past the warranty and I would have to buy a next one. Well, I emailed and called Coleman. They had me send in some pics, receipt, etc. by email, and within two days they had a new one shipped out. Tracking number and everything. They made things right, so how can I be mad? ... show more
