I have a confession; I do not have a kayak but I had a desperate need for something sturdy and secure to tie down several different items I needed to move to a house about 25 miles away. I had bought a "universal" tie down rack and it was a disaster and I sent it back but, in the process, I saw this and realized that it could be used for an almost unlimited number of items from my ladder to a small kitchen table top. The process to attach it to my vehicle was amazingly simple and even a child could do it (with a step ladder obviously) and in less than 10 minutes I was ready to tie down my ladder and another item I had that would go on the same trip. I have used these racks with my 2024 Trax roof rails and they fit perfectly. Very easy to assemble and set up . I like this has an attachment that secures the paddle as well. I drove today 80 mph without the kayak and with the racks down and there was almost no wind noises which was great. It came with two straps to secure the kayak and even a step that you can attach to your door post hooks, so you can get higher and gain more leverage. Very happy with this purchase ... show more
