This is the first smart lock I have tried, and I found it to be easy to install, being just a little more involved than installing a regular door lock. The app works well and the lock has many options for opening. The instructions are straightforward, with clear directions and diagrams for each installation step. The only step I had a problem with was changing the direction of the handle. If you accidentally set the handle in the wrong direction, you have to have the square pole angled with pressure slightly downward to release the mechanism. They provide a drilling template for easy setup. The inside and outside base plates are each 6 3/8” tall x 2 1/2” wide. The inside unit is 7/8” thick. The outside unit is 1” thick with a waterproofing gasket. The handles are rounded on the ends. They are 5 1/2” long x 1” wide and extend 1 7/8” from the base plate. The fingerprint reader is 1/2” diameter and is responsive. I understand this is a smart lock, but I would have preferred to be able to program this without having to download an app and register an account. I try to limit who has access to my phone and my personal information, and I don't need the functionality of assigning separate codes. I really wanted this just for the fingerprint and keypad options. If they had provided this option, I would have rated this a 5 star product. The lock came well packaged and includes all necessary hardware to install . I would have given it 5 stars,but the app to me was a little buggy. Installation was pretty straight foward mechanically. Before installing, I benched checked the lock. I think this will save you sometime outdide when it cold out. Install the app and register, here was the first issue the instuctions did not mention that you need a capital letter in the password. Now one note I would like to make .Most of the electronic items come from China and they all have their own registration and their apps want all kind of info. What I do is use an old galaxy 5 phone a Google phone number that I have used for all these apps and a unique email. Bluetooth and wifi work on it Nothing elese on the phone,so no back door fo any info,better to be safe than sorry. Back to the app they show a qr code but when you scan it, it wants you to download an apk,not a good idea so go to play store and get it might be a little safer.Once you get it loaded and registered connect to bluetooth and set it up,I had a few issues with paring,but after a few tries got it to work. It was very easy to install, I was able to replace existing one, with this lock in half an hour. Overall like the quality of the lock and usage. With so many options for unlocking like number code, nfc fob, fingerprint and key if everything is not working so definitely loved having so many options on the lock. Few things that I did not like about the app: there is no option to remote lock. In addition, there is handle that you have to turn even after unlock which makes it very difficult if you have stuff in hand and you can unlock using mobile or fob however that will not open the lock for you, you need to turn the handle after unlock to open. ... show more

The installation and setup process was easy. The instructions are almost good. The lock works well through the app with Bluetooth, and I haven't had any issues with connectivity or unlocking the door. I also appreciate the different options for unlocking the door, including using a fingerprint, pin code, and even working over wifi to unlock. However, the key slot is a bit difficult to open. Another issue I have with the lock is that there is a noticeable gap between the top of the lock and the door. Also, the lock comes in a dirty condition. ... show more

I recently got this Geonfino door lock and I must say I am quite impressed with it. The metal cast housing gives it a sturdy look and feel, and the keypad is invisible until you tap the screen. My favorite feature is the fingerprint scanner, although it is a bit small for my fingers. Nevertheless, it works well and I use it the most. Setting up the lock was super easy and it comes with everything you need to install it. The app is a bit overwhelming at first because of all the features it offers, such as unlocking the door with the G2 gateway, which requires Wi-Fi. However, after taking some time to get used to it, I was able to navigate it with ease. The lock also comes with smart cards that are made of a sturdy plastic material. One thing to keep in mind is that if you plan on installing this lock on a door with a deadbolt, make sure to measure the distance between the deadbolt and the knob. I couldn't install it on the door I originally intended to because the distance was too short for the housing. The customer service from GEONFINO was excellent. I had an issue with the first lock getting lost between the warehouse and shipper, but they quickly sent me a replacement within a few days. Overall, I highly recommend this Geonfino door lock. It is a good quality, sturdy lock with many features, including a fingerprint scanner and smart card options. The only upgrade I would suggest is a larger fingerprint scanner. ... show more

This fingerprint door lock is verry cool and has many modes to unlock it, but the fingerprint is obviously the fastest and the easiest to setup, but I wish the fingerprint sensor was on the actual handle like some other smart locks, it whould be alot more ergonomic that way
