  • Read for Correction details~ ** Skip for Wella results
Color: 9CB Light Beige Blonde
12.18.23~ After bleaching my shoulder length hair with 2 Boxes of Garnier, the 7 level Bleach not 3, my grey and med brown roots, lifted white as snow. Followed all directions but even tho I applied roots last, should have waited til ends lifted. After years of coloring but not bleaching other than highlighting, I freaked out a bit bout leaving it more than 45 minutes. My hair was medium (level 8) blonde but had a "wash out "pink that well...didn't. So there was a bit more end lift involved bc of the ever dreaded red added aka pink base. The new growth uncolored root hair needed maybe 15 minutes. Left it just over 20. For the most was happy with the lift and results of the bleach. Would recc Garnier. If the roots didn't go white, would have continued with my highlight plan to even out. After couple weeks & lots of deep conditioning. Would highlight & use a gloss. But the roots were white and was not going to add more permanent color. Also wasn't walking around with white roots. What am I Mrs Claus? Well sometimes.. I do bake cookies but didn't start coloring grey at 20 to go white. ** Hello youtube my old friend. Hairstylist (Elle Bangs) was using Wella Color Charm demi ( which means it washes out gradually). She did a cocktail and mixed 2 colors to get the tone she wanted. I know how to color mix but didn't know demi would give same effect as perm. Maybe all brands don't but Wella did. Ordered 10NA ( the color I wanted my hair) & 9CB for roots. I have Light/Med Cool tone skin. My natural blonde friend is going white. Learned the only way to add color to white is add yellow. Even on Cool Tone skin. A glob of 9CB with a dash of 10NA (yes that's scientific term) made my white roots match. Added 10NA solo to bleached ends that still had yellow I did not want. Now my hair is a cool 10NA. The color held strong for 3-4 washes about 2 weeks. Now it's finally at the point I can highlight & gloss. Would absolutely use this again to color deposit w Color Charm Activator not Developer. Hope this ever so short novel helps you find what you needed. ... show more

  • BEIGE BLOND PERFECT FOR BLEACHED TOO BLOND HAIR
Color: 8G Light Golden Blonde
I tried the golden blond on my hair that was bleached out from the sun and pool water, it made it very dark blond and wasn't the look I was looking for. I tried the beige blond and it came out perfect. I didn't have to wash several times to get the blond I want. It covered the blond hair that was way too light and didn't look natural. The Demi hair color is perfect for blond hair that has been processed too much. I use the purple shampoo once a week to keep the color in. I have been using the different Demi colors at home for a few months and my hair is shiny and soft. I have saved so much learning how to do my own hair at home I also use the 10 volume. ... show more

  • Good color but 4N is closer to black
Color: 4N Light Neutral Brown
Seriously, “light brown” 4N is nearly black. If you’re truly going for light brown please go for a lighter color.

  • 8a demi permanent + 050 + 10 vol developer
Definitely an improvement but not as ashy as I would like, so the quest will continue. First time using Wella hair color and toners. My hair is dark brown and my highlights were growing out and looking really brassy. I bought a bunch of wella toners as well as this 8a demi permanent dye and got really confused as to which developer I was supposed to use - I think this 8a demi permanent is discontinued or an old formula and calls for the discontinued “activating lotion” which I did not buy. I had wella 10 volume developer, which the new formula demi permanent colors call for, so that is what I used. I also used some 050 toner which I don’t even think is supposed to be used with these Demi permanent cream toners (it’s for the liquid dyes and toners) but I figured what the heck, I don’t even know if I’m using the right developer, might as well go full science experiment here and try it. I used about half (1 oz) of the 8a with 2 oz developer and 2 caps of 050 and left on for 20 min, maybe a little less on the ends which I did last. It most definitely looks better, but I really want to figure out how to get a cooler tone to the highlighted parts of my hair. The ends came out ashier than the rest so your results would probably be ashier on a lighter color and more processed hair. I got nervous when it was developing because it looked like it was getting so dark but I like the way it came out when washed and dried. Black shirt pic is after and the lighting is making the color look a little warmer than it does in person. I know 10 volume is only supposed to deposit color but I feel like it ever so slightly lifted/softened my roots, unless they just looked a little darker from my hair being dirty in the before pic! Overall I’m satisfied for now with the results but this isn’t going to be my holy grail. Plus, it looks like the new Demi permanent wella line doesn’t even have an 8a anymore! Only 7a and 8n. Could also try the permanent liquid 8a with 10 vol for a Demi permanent result as well. Next time I might try that with more 050 additive. Hope this helps someone. I really went down a rabbit hole researching this before I tried it and wasn’t sure if it was even going to do anything at all based on how dark my hair was but it definitely made my hair more presentable and blended my roots nicely! ... show more
