I LOVE the Vornado brand because they consistently deliver a high quality fan and this lil one is perfect! The low level is quiet and powerful especially considering the size. It’s solid and built very well. The design is so cool and understated that it won’t distract from whatever your personal style might be. I seriously don’t understand why people complain about the color?! The color is exactly spot on and it’s gorgeous. It is not a crisp blue bright white, it is “vintage” white which is basically a light cream color. Stop leaving bad reviews because you don’t know your whites. Also, for those who have issues with the on off dial on the back… really?! *sigh This lil guy is perfect and in the heat of summer the second setting will be more than enough to cool a big-small room. The price Is great considering it’s metal and not plastic. This baby is built to last many years. I read the reviews before buying and I really didn’t need to consider purchasing this as much as I did. It’s a solid, great brand, delivers the air flow & the style is perfect. Love this fan, looks nice, well constructed, and is very quiet for the amount of air it moves. A couple of years after I bought it, it started developing a noticeable rumbling that I just attributed to some detritus maybe getting struck by the fan blades. Problem turned out to be a worsening bearing, and the fan stopped working altogether after 4.5 years. I submitted a warranty claim (as issue was covered under 5 year warranty) on the Vornado website, and had a brand new replacement in my hands by the end of the week, completely free of charge and with zero hassle or run-around validating my claim. That experience really speaks volumes about the quality of the product and the integrity of the company behind it, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend these fans to anyone ... show more

I actually own three of these fans: the mini, the Sr., and the Sr. Pedestal. All of them are in the off-white color, and they're all great! I have the mini in my office at work, on my desk. It's a little noisy for a *small* room, but not overly so; no one can hear it in the background on my Zoom calls. It's very powerful for the size, though, and works so much better than other desktop fans--especially the USB ones. I have the Sr. in my guest bedroom at home, and it works perfectly for summertime. It circulates the air well for a medium-sized room. Finally, I have the Sr. Pedestal in my living room/kitchen area. With the pedestal fan, I don't need to run my PTAC machine except during heatwaves. It was lighter weight than expected, but not cheap-feeling at all; it was very easy to assemble. It's hard to find a fault with these fans, to be honest. They're all very attractive-looking and all work exceptionally well to circulate air! They're all fairly quiet for a mid- or large-sized room, and they're all very well-built. I have left them running for days (weeks!) at a time before without issue. Even though they're significantly more expensive than the "regular", plastic Vornado circulators, I prefer these because they're so much sturdier. They really feel like investment pieces that will last me a long time. If I had to nit-pick, I'd say that I wish the cords on these were a lighter color instead of black, since the fans, themselves are white. However, that seems like a small thing for a fan I otherwise really enjoy. ... show more

When this Vornado VFAN Jr arrived, it reminded me of a fan my father used when he was in the Navy. It is made of sturdy metal (not plastic!) and is reminiscent of fans from the past. The fan head is adjustable, so you can direct the air flow to the room. It has 2 speeds, one is so quiet that you'll forget it is on; the other speed isn't too loud and if you like white noise, this will fit the bill. It would be nice if there was a 3rd speed as the 2nd faster speed works well but having more air flow would be ideal. The finish of this fan is amazing, I ordered the green. When placed on a table or dresser, it looks vintage and fits right into most room decors. ... show more
