      • Decent for the price, variance on fan speeds

    For the price, this is a decent little fan. I needed something that can be bedside while I travel because I have Tinnitus, and I need some noise happening like I do in my room at home. The one downside I found on this fan is the variance in the fan speeds. The low is pretty low and quiet, which is good, but the fast is a little louder than I had hoped. I'm sure it's designed to work this way, but I was surprised it works in this order: Off, High, Low. Just seems like when you initially turn it on, it's on the high speed and is kinda loud, I would have preferred it be Off, Low, High. But it's quite small and great for travel, would work good on a desk but might be a little loud in an office environment on High. ... show more

    All my fans are Vornados; good quality; lasts long. This small fan is used at my work desk. It's not as quiet as I'd like it to be; although there's nothing to complain about. I wanted to downsize personal items. I worked late & treated the place like a second home. Our office recently moved so I figured it's time to remove most of my belongings. You've seen those movies when someone quits their job & they're walking out with only 1 box of stuff. Not me! Well, now I think I have 2+ bankers boxes of stuff, not including my 3 good sized monitors, a small printer, scanner, labeling & laminating machine.     I needed a small fan for my second bathroom because everyone knows how hot it gets in Texas during the summer. I have a larger Vornado fan just like this one in a while for my master bathroom but needed a smaller one for my second bathroom I found this one at Amazon and the price and color were perfect! The shipping was quick and all I had to do was take it out of the box and the protective plastic bag it was in, plug it up, and turn it on. For a small fan, it puts out a lot of wind to keep you cool. It tucks away perfectly in the corner of my sink basin and is stylish because the color matches the color scheme of the bathroom.       • Okay Fan; Wrong Color

    UPDATE: I contacted Amazon for a replacement, since I bought the fan as a "today's deal." After checking, the service rep told me they didn't offer replacements for "these items". It turns out that what I thought was a new fan was actually an open box item, which was why it was a deal. This probably explains the black fan in the blue box. To get close to the deal price, I could return my item and buy a "like new" fan. According to the Amazon assessor, like new means that it "looks and functions as if it were new." I ordered one and when I received the fan, it was blue (yay!), but it was apparent that Amazon's idea of "like new" diverged greatly from mine. When the fan was in a 90° angle, the top and both sides had small scuffs and scratches. Not big gouges, just enough to let you know that it had been dropped around the block a few times. This is not what I would call like new. But it does work (at least the same as the other fan), and it is blue. I'm not sure it's worth it to spin the wheel again. Despite helpful Customer service, the stars remain the same. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ordered the midnight blue color, received a black fan. It was interesting that the fan pictured on the box looks midnight blue, but it does not state the color anywhere on the box. And the fan in the box is definitely black. There goes one star. The fan itself is sturdy and well made. The bottom feet help keep it in place, as well as the weight, because this is not a flimsy fan. The head tilts manually from straight up to straight down, but not easily; it took two hands for me. It also takes two hands to move the ridiculous dial at the base that controls the power and the speed. The only saving grace is the dial is in the front of the fan base and not the back. The fan has two speed settings, marked I & II, for low and high. The low setting is pretty much useless unless you're very close to the fan. However, it is nearly silent on this setting. The high setting is better about moving air, and it doesn't get much noisier either. But this fan will only cool a small space, which is somewhat disappointing for its size. There are smaller, less expensive desktop fans that can do the same job. Overall, I rated it 3 stars. ... show more

I don’t care for the ON dial on the bottom, it seems a little flimsy compared to the rest of the fan. I love that you can adjust the fan in another direction.     This little fan is great! I bought it for my desk at work. It puts out a great amount of air. The only negative thing I could say about it, would be the fan doesnt have a wide air flow. It has to be pointed right at you for you to feel it.
