First, this is the second time I have purchased this product and I love it. This was on my windows for 2.5+ years at my old place w/ no issue (I didnt try to remove to save so not sure but probably would have worked) Installation is easy and bc of the texture you cannot really see if there are bubbles (I got lazy on some because I didn't care, this is for the rainbows on the inside for me only, I have another door that shuts over these windows). Pictured you can tell from the outside in daylight from certain angles. I didn't have a squeegee but any credit card/plastic + a microfiber towel will work. I prefer to cut them to size prior, and just made a paper stencil. IF PRIVACY IS YOUR MAIN CONCERN, at night with lights on, you can definitely still see inside. (blurred, but you can still see). My personal favorite part is the rainbows!!! They are not constant, only when direct sun hits, so I get the rainbows pictured about 2x a day for an hour at a time ... the rainbows grow throughout the hour!!! ... show more

These have been in my saved items for so long! After moving to our new house and realizing the lack of privacy from our windows facing our neighbors windows and yard I seriously needed the piece of mind! I seriously ripped them out of the packaged and installed them same day. The light still comes through and casts beautiful rainbows through the house and I can leave my shades open without the worry! Plus with our fence being replaced soon it keeps wandering eyes from looking in my house😂 the install was super easy! I bought these because I needed to add a little privacy to our front windows, and liked the idea of something both pretty, AND functional. Frosted glass is so twenty years ago. I bought one roll on sale, and I was a little worried that I was going to getting duped after seeing it on Facebook or something. But I was pleasantly surprised! They look exactly as nice as the pictures, and the roll had a lot more on it than I was expecting. I was able to completely cover all of the small accent windows with a good bit of it left. Now the only thing I'm disappointed about is that our front room doesn't get direct enough sunlight for it to cast the patterns on the wall for more than about 20 minutes early in the morning! ... show more

I love how this looks! I wanted light but I also didn't want to see all my husband's projects on the back patio. This solved both problems! I have all the light, but none of hubby's projects on the patio table staring back at me. It provides privacy from a distance but the closer you get, the more you can see details through it. If you're standing right at the door you can still see details like a bunny in the back yard, etc. From across the room though, you just have this pretty pattern reflecting the light in beautiful ways. There is a street that runs behind our house & when a car goes by at night, the light from the headlights makes the most beautiful rainbow shoot across the window. I have seen this listed on all sorts of "things you didn't know you needed from Amazon" lists, and thought it was pretty, but had no actual need for it! Finally found a spot I could use it, in our bathroom where I didn't want the old gross blinds the previous owners left. It went on magically easily and is really beautiful! It lets all the natural light in, but I don't have to worry about peeping neighbors when I get out of the shower. The rainbows are beautiful! I will say, buy their additional "installation kit," it was totally worth the $7 to have an exacto knife and the smoother to help put it up. It’s a bit difficult to apply why it’s to the right size and I had to piece a few things together but I love the look of it and it was super easy to get the bubbles out. My daughter and I looked at a plethora of privacy films for her door, but she couldn’t find one that suited her. I checked Amazon on my own and decided to purchase this one, hoping that she would like it. It was stated as semi-private, and I wasn’t sure what that meant, but I knew that she didn’t want it to be so opaque that you couldn’t see anything. It was easy to apply, I didn't need a squeegee or additional applicators. Just clean the window, wet it with water, peel off the backing and stick it on the window and use a wet rag to smooth it over the window. Some corners are not sticking and are peeling up a little bit, but it doesn't look like it'll cause any problems. I love the end product though, the pretty rainbow patterns on the floor, and I can finally let in some natural light without fearing anyone looking inside. ... show more
