I used 2 rolls of this film to do my class storm door and it turned out great! When it's brighter outside than it is inside, you can't see into the house at all! But when the sun goes down, it gradually becomes more or a dark, but clear tint. It was fairly easy to put up using a spray bottle of very soapy water and a squeegee. We love being able to see out the door when we're cleaning around the house as it makes it feel more open, but also really really love the privacy that it provides. It also keeps so much heat from radiating through the glass door and kept our downstairs so much cooler in the summer. My AC only had to run about 50-60% of the time that it was prior to applying this tint. I plan on adding it to my backdoor as well, but that'll be a later project since that door is huge and will likely take around 4 or more rolls. ... show more

I wanted to try these out for my bedroom, the hottest room in the house, on the 2nd floor and on top of that, it is south facing. Our windows need to be replaced anyway, but that is an expensive task. I put these on, and the room INSTANTLY felt cooler. So they definitely do something. My only complaint is the difficulty in trimming the film once it is on the windows. I had a hard time getting anything to look nice. Looks decent from the outside. But my shades/curtains are always down anyway, so I don't care too much. Because they worked so well, and were not that difficult to apply, (I am a small 5'5 female, and I could do it, the air bubbles aren't difficult to get out, even just with the tool provided, tho, a squeegee would probably be more efficient.) I want to do the rest of the south facing windows. I will need a professional to cut it and trim it because it was very difficult to trim, maybe the utility knife I had was dull? So I recommend the product, but if you want it to look flawless and perfect you may need a professional to trim it and install it meticulously. Overall, if you are thinking about this... GET IT! It really works, I was actually surprised at how well it worked for heat/sunlight. Great product. Wish it came with better tools/cutting/trimming instructions tho... :( AND pro tip, for everyone saying that they don't stick... This is not true. You just have to REALLY clean the windows (I used windex,) before you apply the soapy water on both the windows and film. ... show more

** LAST UPDATE OCT 2022** Now that they’ve been up a few months and in the sun I can 100% say they don’t work. They don’t block out heat and are completely see through. There is absolutely no reason to them anymore. Huge waste of time, money and effort. **updated** I will give them credit they keep the heat out. However everything I said before is still true. Silver is majorly blue so I don’t even want to know how blue the blue one is. Two I bought another roll I gave them another chance, this roll is correct length and cut straight, HOWEVER it doesn’t stick to the window like the first two did. I don’t see how that’s possible. Because of the major differences in quality between each roll I just don’t think it’s worth it. I’m leaving it up because it does block up the heat. However I had to tape the corners or every sheet down to keep them from falling off. First of all it’s only been up 30 minutes and it’s night time. I will have to update later but we already have a few problems. The biggest problem is I bought two rolls. One was cut to the correct size, the other is missing HALF of the product! It’s HALF the size as the first. Mind you I bought the same size. My next problem is I purchased silver, I received blue. Annoying. My third problem was both rolls were cut crooked. Both lean to one side and I know this isn’t our error because at the top it fits and then we pull straight down and slowly flatten against the window, no matter how many times we re-do it, it’s still crooked. I’m not sure if I can even return it seeing as it’s cut into pieces. I’m not sure I want to buy more either seeing as the crappy quality but again half my windows isn’t covered because of the missing product. I really don’t want to mix two different products. Before I purchased it, I read reviews ranging from 5 stars to 1 star. So, I share my pros and cons. I am giving this tinted window film three stars. Pros: It has 2 ways privacy function, except if the room is brighter than the outside at night, I could see inside the home. But better than nothing. Compared to the professional home window tinting company, the price is affordable. I chose blue silver; it looks very blue but keeps the room temperature somewhat low. (Some reviewers disagree; I am aware of that.) It is easy to install them once you get used to it. Cons: The film is very thick and arrived with a tube roll. So, when I tried to lie flat on the table, it kept rolling and curling back firmly. This was a pain in the butt to work with. The film is extremely easy to scratch with a metal ruler, scissors, cutter, desk, and any hard object. Once scratches are there, there is nothing you can do. This film emitted odors of old plastic material. The smell is powerful, from my experience. Materials are not environmentally friendly or human-health friendly. Considering the cheap price and the fact that it was made in China, what do I expect? I got what I paid for. I tinted the bedroom and hallway windows, keeping them for a while. But I am still deciding whether to work on this film in the living room, kitchen, or other rooms. I may call a local professional home tinting window company. I am giving it 3 stars because if you need tinted windows in the garage or storage room and rooms you don't sleep and eat foods, this film might do the job you want and save money. ... show more
