The online product description photo shows light filtering through the window cling. My photo shows blackout qualities. I'm very glad it's solid because the sunlight puts a harsh glare on my TV. Also I like that I can't see out or in. Definitely go by the included instructions. The window clings I put up 2 years ago had slightly different instructions. This product is quick and very easy to install once you get the prep work done first. The edge cutter, squeegee, and tiny spray bottle are included with the film. I suggest peeling back a small corner of the backing and crumple it on each cut you make to speed up the process. That backing is a bit of a challenge to remove. Once it's on your soapy window, it's easy to manipulate into whatever position you need. Removing is just as easy as installing, simply spray some water near a corner to get the peeling started. I like this window cling so much, I'm considering buying more and putting it on my storm door. ... show more

This roll of privacy window clings is over thirteen feet long. The pattern allows light to shine through. When it’s sunny, the clings shoot colorful patterns all over the room’s walls, furniture and floor. The clings are reusable. I will use them in my uncooled covered patio in the hot summer months and then take them down in the winter to allow my seedlings to grow. The included scraper is small but that’s probably best for inexperienced installers. I would definitely recommend measuring the window first, cutting a piece a bit bigger and doing the final trimming with the knife only after all the air under the cling has been pushed out. ... show more

This window film was easy to apply and cut. The static cling has stuck and so far has not come off. During the day it looks like a rainbow stained glass, and at night it looks like colorful Christmas lights! The media could not be loaded. We have three windows in our new, old garage. Being first time homeowners fresh out of decades of apartment living, we are starting to collect tools and equipment to maintain our yard and remodel our fixer upper house. Since we are storing them in our garage, we wanted something to obscure the view from outside a bit while still letting light in. Our neighbors have cloth curtains in their garage but with the sheer volume of spider activity we seem to have, I wanted something we could wipe clean. We decided to go with this window film. It’s not totally opaque, you can see through it but it’s hard to make out what you’re seeing. And since it’ll be a mostly dark garage, I think it’ll work great for us. We are using a mitre saw and other tools in the garage so having something that lets light in is really nice. It’s a very generous size roll and the film is thick. I have another brand I bought at a box home improvement store and theirs has less on the roll for more money - so this is a great deal! Also, the other brand didn’t have any included accessories but recommends you use a water spritz bottle, squeegee and blade. I LOVE that this film includes them. Very happy with it all! ... show more

Full disclosure, these won't provide 100% privacy up close.. it's more like 75%. We have a curtain on those windows, just in case, but you can absolutely tell what's on the other side if you look hard enough, or get really close. I've purchased these before and would again if needed, but two rolls would be enough to do an entire room or a couple of big windows/doors! You absolutely won't be disappointed (unless you're looking for 100% privacy)! The cling vs adhesive is preferred, because it allows for reuse if one wanted to change the image from time to time, making it an even better value than the adhesive types! ... show more

My bedroom window faces my neighbor’s front door so I’ve never been able to open my blinds, but with this window cling I can. It gives great privacy during the day but allows plenty of light though. It’s very pretty too! I highly recommend this window cling.
