    • A lot sturdier than it looks

First: the product. Exactly as described and pictured. Super easy to assemble. The panels seem kinda flimsy at first, but after everything is assembled it’s sturdy. Second: installation. A nightmare. Truly awful. I can’t honestly blame the nightmare installation on the product. I’m assuming any other awning would be this bad. Some advice: don’t count on the installation hardware that comes with the awning. It was complicated and didn’t come with any instructions. I had to look it up on YouTube. The other problem is the awning’s arches. The little decorations inside the support arches which I’m assuming are structurally important make it hard to attach the awning to the wall. A drill, hammer, screwdriver…none of it will fit. The top hole is covered by one of those decorations on the arch, so only a tool with small clearance will work. For example, you can use a simple hand wrench because it turns flat, parallel to the wall. But you can’t use a screwdriver because the handle comes away from the hole and turns perpendicular to the wall. So before you start with this project I highly recommend you make a plan about what hardware to use to attach it to your building. Keep in mind that you will not have any tools clearance for those top holes. Good luck! On the plus side, I put this awning through a ton of abuse trying to get it up and it is definitely more sturdy than it looks. I even had to skip one of the holes, so the whole thing sags. But we’ve had some big storms and it doesn’t budge even with the uneven way it hangs. The panels are a bit hollow so it makes some noise when it rains. If that is a concern for you then be aware. It is louder than the sound rain makes on my car roof when I’m inside the car but not tin roof loud. I’d say it’s more like rain on a plastic umbrella. ... show more

Mine came with the wrong screws. It called for pan head screws, but came with machine head screws. Okay, okay I'm being picky. It went together easily after watching the short video. The actual paper instructions it came with are useless. I added a few self taping screws myself to help with rigidity. (It certainly needs it) Yes, it's kinda flimsy, and in a heavy wind storm it may blow to pieces. But, for the inexpensive price...it's okay. I wish there were more and better choices on the market. Update: It's up (I was able to install it alone) it's actually quite sturdy after installation and works well. As always time will tell. Upgraded to 4 stars! ... show more

Pretty cheap. Does do the trick tho. Seems to hold up so far. I guess for the money it's doing it's job so far. The rating is because of the cheap material used as the roof. Very flimsy plastic. We will see how long it lasts

Absolute trash. It’s all plastic and is the same material as a yard signs corrugated cardboard. It’s flexible it every way except where you need it. Predrilled holes don’t line up. Horrible instructions with garbage bolts. I’d rather listen to a screaming child on an unpressurized airplane for 2 hours with a sinus infection and a migraine, than waste another second trying to assemble this junk. Would probably crumble in the sun. Oh and it would look like trash even in a section 8 mobile home park (if those exist). Quick way to drop your property value! My cats don’t even like the box…. ... show more

Ordered for Chicken coop for main door. Keeps me dry when it is raining or drizzling. Very sturdy and does a good job. Very easy to mount. Had to make alterations to frame to get above the door. Just ordered another one smaller to cover window on the side of coop where we have a fan mounted on a ledge. Will update after we get cold weather and any snow or ice. ... show more
