  • Great idea. Made simply of inexpensive materials but does the job
Size: 30x40 Inch Color: Clear Board & Black Bracket
You can't beat the price. It was easy to assemble BUT...I did not use the gigantic screws that came with it. I didn't want to put huge holes in my siding and given the small size it wasn't necessary. I just used large 1/4 lag screws.

  • Great side entrance door weather protection!
Size: 40x40 Inch Color: Brown Board & Black Bracket
Purchased to protect side entry door from rain, and I am very pleased with product and performance! Easy to put together, and it really keeps the entrance dry and provides a more secure feeling when entering house. No movement in heavy winds. Looks streamlined as well!

  • Very sturdy for a plastic frame.
Size: 40x40 Inch Color: Brown Board & Black Bracket
First, price is good. Second, the frame is large so it should hold up to anything but a direct hit of a large tree limb. The instructions are bad, but one should expect that from overseas. The main issue was the back cross bar, which way it should go, it was not clear. The main complaint is the design is meant to go on a flat surface. Not cedar siding, it sticks out and the bolts were not long enough. Had to go buy 3" 1/4-20 bolts. The selection of bolts was not known, turns out they are 1/4-20 but once you seat the anchor bolts and remove the bolts the threads are distorted. I also injected RTV in the front and rear cross bars, they were very loose, waited a day to cure then finished assembly and then measured where the holes would be. I also switched out the two top screws with SS screws. They are exposed so SS will work better. Note if you do not install those two screws the frame will twist some. ... show more

  • Great coverage for front door
Size: 40x80 Inch Color: Brown Board & Black Bracket
This is surprisingly nice. I put it together and it didn't seem very sturdy. It was easy to assemble. However when mounted in place it does feel pretty solid. It looks very nice! I will update if it falls apart with the next hurricane. But for a little over $50 it's worth it so far for adding shade to my front door and cover from rain. I didn't use the included bolts to secure it to the house. I used lag bolts from the hardware store. ... show more

  • Read the entire descriptions!
Size: 40x80 Inch Color: Brown Board & Black Bracket
I bought the 40" x 80" awning. First, the center connector is not aluminum as the description states. It is Plastic. Second, Beware that the distance from the outer mounting bolt holes is 75 1/2 inches! I had to mount them partially on the window frames. My fault not checking the measurement before ordering. Installation definitely takes 2 or 3 people. The panels tend to come apart if the middle section is allowed to sag while installing. After mounting all 3 brackets and making sure the panels are still in place, it looks good. Hopefully it will hold up to some wind and light snow. I bought this more than a year ago, otherwise I would have returned it. ... show more

  • A lot sturdier than it looks
Size: 40x80 Inch Color: Clear Board & Grey Bracket
First: the product. Exactly as described and pictured. Super easy to assemble. The panels seem kinda flimsy at first, but after everything is assembled it’s sturdy. Second: installation. A nightmare. Truly awful. I can’t honestly blame the nightmare installation on the product. I’m assuming any other awning would be this bad. Some advice: don’t count on the installation hardware that comes with the awning. It was complicated and didn’t come with any instructions. I had to look it up on YouTube. The other problem is the awning’s arches. The little decorations inside the support arches which I’m assuming are structurally important make it hard to attach the awning to the wall. A drill, hammer, screwdriver…none of it will fit. The top hole is covered by one of those decorations on the arch, so only a tool with small clearance will work. For example, you can use a simple hand wrench because it turns flat, parallel to the wall. But you can’t use a screwdriver because the handle comes away from the hole and turns perpendicular to the wall. So before you start with this project I highly recommend you make a plan about what hardware to use to attach it to your building. Keep in mind that you will not have any tools clearance for those top holes. Good luck! On the plus side, I put this awning through a ton of abuse trying to get it up and it is definitely more sturdy than it looks. I even had to skip one of the holes, so the whole thing sags. But we’ve had some big storms and it doesn’t budge even with the uneven way it hangs. The panels are a bit hollow so it makes some noise when it rains. If that is a concern for you then be aware. It is louder than the sound rain makes on my car roof when I’m inside the car but not tin roof loud. I’d say it’s more like rain on a plastic umbrella. ... show more
