This is my first try making hats with a hat press. This press works well for what I need-- it heats up quickly and presses fine. I have had to make some adjustments like tightening the heating plate (easy with a screwdriver) and I added a cloth between the hat and the press otherwise I would get uneven pressing. I also learned to tear the sublimation paper or else it would leave hard lines. I am still working through the kinks, but some could be user error and some could be just the quality of the press. When the heat press finally arrived 3 days after UPS notice of arrival and multiple attempts to get an answer on where the parcel was in the process...it showed up and I opened the box to find a used heat press and surprise it turned on, but the set up process failed due to the upper heat unit not raising to allow for the install of the handle. To make matters worse the unit heats up quickly and since the function to raise the heating plate failed, I had no time to remove the small square of white foam packing material I assume was still in place. The unit looked like it had been unpacked and handled by someone previously and the malfunction probably led it being return to Amazon. I didn't get this at discount. It was listed as new. I attempted to get customer tech support from Vevor.com by way of chat messaging and emailing several times and after being in contact with them 2 times...both representatives asked for video and/or pictures of the unit to be sent in order to help them understand the malfunction. I explained to them both I would only be providing a picture of the unit and it would not help with my issue since I had chosen to overlook the cosmetic/physical appearance of the unit and instead just wanted to get help making the unit open. No response from customer service after that. I returned to Amazon for refund and purchased the HTVRont automatic press instead. It is scheduled to be delivered in 2 days. Hoping it works or at least they have better customer service. Buyer Beware...this Vevor auto press apparently has well documented issues with the same problem I experienced. I unfortunately did find this out until I went searching for a solution on YouTube and found many other complaining of the same issue.
