This stuff is awesome! It really stays on. I used it to line my curio case because it was mirrors and I didn't like the reflection of my Uranium glass. The black back really makes the glow from my Uranium items glow and pop! I just used some windex and it was really easy and no problems with bubbles or crinkles. It's been over a week and the cling has not fallen at all. I normally don't write reviews, but after seeing a few negative reviews saying the cling doesn't stay up, I thought I'd let others that it's working great for me! We have a day sleeper in the house and this stuff is magic! The room has no light now! See before and after pictures. The grid lines on the back are a lifesaver, saves tons of time measuring and you get a cleaner cut. The most time consuming part was getting the liner off the back. The tape trick didn't really work for me. Once the liner is off, it's super easy to install. Saturate and slide around to get into the edges as best you can. Buy with confidence! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Pros: does it’s job! It also has this grid on the back of the film which does help a lot with cutting! Nice and thick material. Cons: 1. the backing of the static film was very difficult to peel, despite trying their suggestion of using two types scotch tape to help 2. I would not recommend the instructions saying to leave 1/2” and use a knife to cut off the excess film, I tried that and it was difficult and impossible to cut nicely and have a clean edge that completely covered the window. 3. Instructions said to use soapy water and a lot of it, wasn’t clear on ratio for soap to water. I went with some soap with very little additive and also used distilled water. I felt like it was a bit excessive. When I was using a card to smooth out the pieces soapy water would drip out from the edge… so beware this may happen, so it forced me to do the top panels first because I didn’t want the soapy water to drip down. Overall: good for its price and does its job, but could be more detailed in the instructions! And if there was an easier way to remove the backing it would be great (tried the scotch tape method but it didn’t work. ... show more

Life-changing! I’m a vampire who works from home all night and sleeps during the day. I mostly dwell in the basement which serves as my study, tv room and bedroom. There are three small windows in the basement and I used this on all of them. The directions say to cut one inch larger than you need so you can wedge the film into the edges of the frame with a plastic card to secure the film better...but my windows have airtight frames so this ended up being more of a hassle when it came time to cut the excess film. Your windows may be different. I had a hard time getting a perfectly straight cut with a utility knife once the film was misted and placed. The knife also slipped a few times and scratched my window frames. User error. Maybe I should have used a straightedge of some kind. For me it was easier to just cut the film to the exact dimensions I needed and then place it. Also, a tip that may help you: I decided to tape the edges with black electric tape since I’m putting blinds over the windows anyway. It bonds securely to the film + frame and eliminates any leaking light along the edges due to imperfect cuts but also should help keep the film in place. Time will tell. It’s now pitch black in my basement and my body has no idea what time of day it is...which is great because the sun is my kryptonite and it renders me useless. In theory it should also be cooler in the summer now since the film is deflecting the sunlight. also no more glare on my TV. I should have done this ages ago. TLDR; great value for money. Give it a try. *Update: So the electric tape didn't hold as well as I had hoped. I reinforced it with black Gorilla Tape. I'll probably be cursing myself when/if it comes time to remove it...but it should do the trick for now. ... show more

It wasn't easy to use. It didn't stick very well at all to the windows. It's darker in the room where I hung it up but looks tacky in my opinion. If you don't mind the look, get it. Performance sucks!

so i when i ordered this i thought it would be enough to cover my window completely but it isn’t quite but even with a chunk of my window still open it blocks out so much more light and makes it easy to sleep in
