Have been using these for years. When they say heavy duty, they mean it. You really have to pull hard to get them apart. Current project is installing several rechargeable lights, so Velcro seems like the way to go. Installed in two minutes with no drilling. This stuff is really tough, so not sure what will happen to the wall when I finally take it off, but that’s a headache for another day. Checked the price at big box- Saved $2 and had it delivered. I originally purchased this because my passenger-side sun visor was not staying up. I was able to cut the strips to the size I needed and apply them to my visor. However, the only problem is that when the interior of the car heats up, the adhesive fails. So, back to square one. I used it (just the loop side) on the underside of my cargo tray in my Honda CRV. It holds to the carpet and doesn't budge at all. Before it was sliding around and would even block the tailgate from closing. Strong adhesive.

After trying generic substitutes in an attempt to save a few bucks, I discovered the inferior generic ones weren’t stay glued on or staying hooked. I decided to go with the Velcro name brand and I wasn’t disappointed. The glue adhesive is excellent. It adheres to wood, plastic, metal and glass and doesn’t come loose when the surrounding environment is 90 or 100 degrees F. The hook and loop mating is excellent.     • Difficult to setup, gets the job done

Works for what I need it to, but getting the clear backing off of the sticky surface was incredibly difficult. My husband and I took more than 5 minutes trying to peel it off, and one of the sides took sticky residue off with it.
