Gorilla All Weather Waterproof Tape is an ideal solution for outdoor repairs. Made with incredibly strong, permanent, butyl adhesive and a weather resistant shell, this tape withstands even extreme weather conditions. Gorilla All Weather Tape resists drying, cracking, and peeling caused by sunlight, heat, cold, and moisture and works in both hot & cold temperatures.Great for tarps, plastic sheeting, roofs, vents, RV's, and all general purpose heavy duty repairs. Gorilla All Weather Tape contains a highly concentrated rubber based adhesive and sticks to most plastics, including polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Gorilla All Weather Tape does not work on materials with high oil or plasticizer content, such as EPDM rubber or PVC. An acrylic tape, such as Crystal Clear Gorilla Tape, may be better suited for these materials. Gorilla All Weather Tape should NOT be used as an electrical tape.Directions: 1. Cut or tear desired amount. 2. Apply tape to a clean surface. 3. This stuff finally solved our insulation issue with our floor to window AC unit. No other tapes would continue to stick to the window frame for more than a few hours from the heat output. I tried 4 other tapes and was about to just caulk it when I found this. This FINALLY heat proofed the window and held against the heat output. No heat leaked inside, no cool leaked out, everything was finally calm and settled and working. It was an amazing feeling. Now... taking it off... lol. Let's just say a couple months later and the window frame is still covered in black glue that we just haven't wanted to deal with attempting to get off of it. That's the only downside to this tape. It's super thick, super sturdy, surprisingly easy to rip, and does it's job without complaint. It STICKS to anything - I'm pretty sure I lost my fingerprints taping that window up (kinda funny but also serious). So if you're here looking for a tape to stand up against the summer heat and a floor AC unit vent, you finally found it. Relax, click purchase now, and wait for salvation, lol. I bought this to be able to have my AC covering not constantly falling and to seal the cold air in my room. Other tapes get worn out with the heat and sun hitting it all day but this tape stayed on all summer. Only thing is that removing it can sometimes leave a black residue behind, but other then that it is great. Worth the price and would recommend 10/10 ... show more

Gorilla Tape definitely does what it advertises. It is SUPER adhesive and stays put. So lets start with that. Pros: Super adhesive Relatively easy to rip Pretty heavy duty However, using this stuff can be kind of a pain. Cons: Plastic wrapping doesnt like to come off easily It might almost be TOO adhesive as it doesnt come of the roll without a fight Once applied, good look getting it off something without residue Pro tip: To get off the residue after removing, use a bit of WD40 with some Goo Gone and plenty of elbow grease. Overall: Product doesnt exactly what is says, but be careful that you're using it for things that you don't plan on undoing. ... show more

    • Perfect solution for hole in a grill cover

My grill cover got a hole from rubbing on the brick exterior in the wind. The new cover is somewhere in the neighborhood of $70 and I figured it would just get another hole, so I was looking for a solution to patch the hold rather than replace the cover just to replace it again. I came across this tape and thought I'd give it a try, worst case scenario, I have to replace the cover. I have to admit I was nervous given the reviews. I would comment that there are several types of Gorilla tape, not clear if some folks have had experience with some of the others and commented on this or what has happened, but for me this worked just as they claimed. When I opened the wrapper it seemed like the edges of the roll were stickier than the average duct tape so I was wary as some reviews mention this being incredibly sticky but the product description states it should not be overly sticky to the touch. Once I started to pull the tape off the roll, which is a little tough, I found the product description to be accurate. I did not have any sticky residue on my fingers. I did have trouble tearing it, so I used scissors to cut it and no residue left on the scissors. I cleaned the surfaces the the grill cover well and layed it on a flat surface so the tape would be sure to stick and apply flat. I applied a piece to both the inside and outside of the cover. Instructions say to rub vigorously once applied, which I did. I do have one edge that seems to be less sticky or not adhering as well as the rest, it happens to be the first edge that pulled off the roll. I'll have to keep an eye on that and see if it starts to pull up or if I'll need to try to pull that piece off and try again. If so I'll update on that process. Overall, it seems to be as advertised, application was super easy, and we'll see how it holds up to the summer weather. I just got it and applied it today, so I will update if it doesn't hold well. ... show more

    • It's GORILLA tape, need I say more?

I've always loved how strong this stuff is. The 1st time I used it, I had taped the same thing with duct tape at least a half dozen times before, and it always dried up and peeled in the sun & heat. My Dad had this "black duct tape" (or so I thought it was at the time way back when) and I used that for the same application. By God that was the last time I had to tape it - in fact, years later, when I finally got around to changing the windows and therefore the screens, it was actually difficult to peel it off! My dad, as I recall, was just thrilled to hear me say, "HEY that black duct tape you got is REALLY good stuff!" He was giving me the look, and said something like, "so that's where my Gorilla tape went...of course it held up, it's not cheap stuff!" His endorsement sealed the deal for me- pun intended- I'd say I have been using this product on the fixes where A. Duct tape just would look like }{€[[ and B. It's something that I need to be able to 'set it n forget it' for awhile -- like a section of a tent pole, or the back of the recliner that the cats used to file their nails-- Performance on this is unquestionably solid. Like gorilla glue, it's going to hold. Clarity I have no idea what they want me to say but it's great. Size, well it's as expected, standard issue width, and the length of the roll is fair for the cost. It's definitely worth it's weight in BTC. The tape applied easily in an exterior auto application and has survived rain and hot sun and still looks fine. This will be my "go to" tape for all future exterior applications. I haven't had to remove any so I can't comment on that.
