Seems fairly sturdy. Arrived undamaged. Easy to assemble. This box seems flimsy when you take it out of the box. But once it's together it's solid. I can't speak for the shocks because I don't need those. I put it together myself (50 yo female). It took me less than 45 minutes. Super easy. If my husband would have been around he could have popped it together in 5 minutes because he has more muscle in his hands. That's the only reason it took so long is because you have those clips that need to pop on. The lid gave me the most difficulty. I'd say pretty much any adult can do it. As far as sitting on it, I'm 145 and I sat on it, but I wouldn't if your any bigger. Seems to flimsy for sitting. ... show more

Product is great, easy to put together however it is to small for all my cushions and the without a locking mechanism the lid will not stay shut. I m only returning item due to needing a bigger unit. For the price and quality this is great item. I just have two pumpkin chairs (extra large cushion's), and 4 regular chairs with two cushions each. Just not big enough for these. ... show more

Fairly easy to assemble. Did have to use a rubber mallet to snap the bottom panel on but the rest was very easy. Has been outside for over a week & has kept dry inside through rain & cold. Bought this to keep my swing cushion in. Has plenty of room for more things

I really like it. it’s very attractive and big, but it does take a little strength to put it together because it snaps together so you have to snap it in to itself. I did have to ask for help snapping the top into the bottom.

    • Flimsy.

Pro - box is decent size. Con - product is very flimsy. The long sides of the container are both curved and difficult to click into the slots. The hinges are dangerous. Those are pressed /cut and they are sharp. Since the sides are curved, the lid won’t be a perfect fit and you have to jiggle it to get the lock sides to match before you can slide the lock pad through. The box won’t serve my purpose as is :( I wanted a box I can store my gardening tools and lock them up so my gardeners works can quit accidentally taking my tools :(. I am handicapped and it’s difficult for me to jiggle the lid to make it line up, let alone trying to slide a lock pad through while jiggling the lid. I wanted to return the item but my husband thinks it’s too much of a hassle to disassemble it to return. Guess I’m stuck with it for now. If I remember it correctly, I think the advertisement has picture where an adult and child were sitting on the lid - I do not recommend that. I wish they had reinforced the long sides of the boxes well. ... show more

Solid, and snaps together with surprising ease (not easy, but neither is it particularly hard). It is NOT going to be waterproof, but definitely water resistant. I would expect it to be fine in the back of our truck. One strap held it solidly, and both hid and secured our suitcases well (cab full of people). The only issue I have with it is that there's no way to lock it with anything bigger than a tiny suitcase lock. Also, there's no latch. Although I don't think it would come open in the back of a truck, I had a second strap circling it to ensure the lid would stay closed tightly. ... show more
