Expensive but worth it. I paid $1000 . Bought one similar for $650 and it was all glue and sawdust. Sent it back. This is well designed and easy to put together. Solid piece of furniture that will last many years. No cam locks. Metal inserts inside the pre drilled holes to attach with screws and washers. Took 30 mins. No Regrets! ... show more

This is a beautiful electric fireplace. I live in Austin where a real one is rare in homes, so this will be a treat in my office/library this winter. Lovely addition I'll use everyday. My only comment is that the color is completely off from the pictures (so I'm including a picture of my own). My desk and bookcases are significantly darker (matching the pics in this listing perfectly on several devices/screens) so that's a bit frustrating. I've never had a problem color matching furniture from online before until now. My husband says it was easy to assemble but he's that guy that can fix anything, so grain of salt on taking his perspective. :) ... show more

    • Beautiful media fireplace cabinet
I love my new media cabinet it is beautiful and hold my 70 inch tv. If you are concerned with setting your TV on it because side shelves sit lower than center fireplace do not worry the legs on my TV clear it with about an inch to spare. I have got lots of compliments on it. Very sturdy and well made, not difficult to put together. If you want a well made cabinet this cabinet is for you. I love the fireplace look and the heat output is good even for my large living room. When shipped I received 3 boxes total and they came on different days. I contacted the seller because I only received the fireplace insert and they responded in a timely manner and reassured me that there was another delivery and provided the tracking number, amazon only lists one tracking number but there is 3 total. ... show more

    • Great looking and well built for the price!
A well designed "put it together yourself" piece of furniture. The quality is closer to a finished piece you would buy at a furniture store versus a 'big-box' retail store. The materials used are acceptable: solid wood where needed, and real wood veneer over MDF. This veneer 'may' be hard to hide scratches if your home is 'scratch prone' [i.e. toddlers & small children], but the finish seems durable enough. Assembly is straightforward and can be accomplished in under an hour with an additional person helping at a few key points in the process. In our case, the heater box is heating a 10 X 20 attached garage space that was converted into a family room. This room is insulated, however it has no forced air heating and has always relied on other ways to heat it. We're in northern New England and it can get much colder than many other reviewers in the US experience. Since owning this for a short while, we've already been into the 40's F and using the heater intermittently on the lowest setting, the heater keeps this size space VERY comfortable. I'm confident that when our part of the country starts seeing temperatures in the teens and below zero that it will have no problem keeping us warm - albeit at a higher electrical utility costs. ... show more

    • Great Quality for a Great Price
My wife and I love this unit! It was easy to assemble and arrived in perfect condition. The finish is darker than pictured (espresso bordering on black), but matches our other furniture perfectly. It is mostly solid wood but has a few parts that are MDF with wood veneer. I have built many pieces of "put it together yourself" type furniture, but this one is definately higher quality than most. I was originally trying to convince my wife to get a Dimplex unit (for about $1000 more) because I wanted multi-colored flames/embers, however the "fire" in this unit looks excellent (but not multi-colored) and the heater instantly throws off alot of heat (but can be switched off independently of the fire). There was plenty of room for my hi-fi components, although I had to insert them from the rear, and my amp was a little too deep for me to put the back of the unit on one side. However, with all my equipment loaded into one side, you can't see the back anyways! And with the $1000 we saved, I'll be upgrading my center channel speaker (she doesn't know that yet!)     • Good looking, but could be much better
Overall, the product is very nice. But it was a real pain to put together. There are 4 pieces of wood which required to be manually attached by wood screws, but the counter sink holes were not deep enough. This required me to purchase a 3/8" drill bit and manually drill them myself. Additionally, the screws needed to be tapped in order to go through the mahogany, which is a very hard wood, so I had to manually drill some 20 holes for the screws to be screwed in. It was took an exasperating long time to get it put together. I would rate it 1 star for assembly. On the operational front, the remote works very strange. You cannot turn the heater on/off nor change the intensity of the fire very easily. It is like one mode overrides the other. Aesthetically, it is pretty nice. But there is a noticable hum when just the LED 'fire' is on, making it a bit distracting and annoying. Nice looking piece, but could have been much better. ... show more

    • Toooooooo low, hard to assemble expensive
What a disappointment, first of all only 2 of the three boxes showed up. Hassle to get third (fire pit) box…called literally all over the world. I had to pay somebody $300 to assemble on top of the expensive price and then it’s a very low/short unit. It needs to be another 8” taller!!!! I would’ve exchanged for a normal fireplace had I not paid for assembly & had to pay for return shipping. Don’t recommend. ... show more
