this is made alot like the seperator i used at honda, the two main differances are that it has the ability to fit differant size ball joints. the other is that the honda tool had a nut to go on top of the threads of the ball joint to make sure that they would not get damaged. it would bee nice if it came with some capped nuts that are common sizes, but you can always use the origanal nut ... show more

I haven't used it yet but I wanted to let people know a couple of things. The description doesn't tell what the maximum clearance is between the jaws, it's 3 inches maybe a little more. The pictures don't do the size of the tool justice, it's much larger than similar tools but I don't see it being a problem. I've been a self employed mechanic for 34 years and if the tool doesn't break I think it will work very well. ... show more
