  • So far so good (updates to follow, I promise!)…
Color: Black
The box was a bit tattered upon receipt so I question if this was a return (which makes me nervous that something is wrong with it…we’ll see). First, the instructions are available via the QR code on the box - the company website says the instructions are also printed on the inside of the box, but that was not the case with mine. Second, remember to hold every button for a couple seconds to get it to work - whether it’s the on/off button or the button for the light - it’s not instantaneous so patience is a virtue. Third, mine arrived with a charge but I topped it off and gave it a try - it worked beautifully. And so far I haven’t had any of the issues others have reported (most notably, the plastic casing didn’t burn). BUT a lot of the complaints seem to be that the lighter would not take a second charge or that the charge only lasted a very short time. The company claims the product can light up to 1000 times under one charge. I’ll keep count and report back. I’ll also report back after recharging the device whether or not it continued to work. Time will tell. So, my initial thoughts are this is a cool device, albeit kind of expensive. And, most importantly, it works! It does not feel substantial at all though so I am betting if I were to drop it by accident that would be the end of it. Again, time will tell. I will update my review when I have more to report, but so far so good… ... show more

  • Disappointed
Color: Black
We used the item a few times and it stopped working. We cannot return it so we wasted money on a poorly performing product. Amazon should read these reviews and consider quality of items they are retailing.

  • For a tech savvy brother-in-law that smokes
Color: Black
LED light wasn't exactly what I thought but then again I didn't research. It's bright but not like a mini Maglite beam of light. That'd have been a better feature. It's more like a light that'd shine on a keyhole. The flameless lighter is super cool. Charges easily, cord is a little, short USB charger. Old android style port. I lit an incense to try it out. Not a fire 🔥, but did do the job. I think this would be perfect for candles or cigarettes. ... show more

  • Very effective

You have to hold the on button for quite a while but other than that it’s great

  • Loved it until it stopped working!
Color: Black
I thought this was such a wonderful idea, good for the planet and all that..It worked great for about a year and a half and then just stopped working. I’m not sure how good it is for the planet if it only lasts 1.5 years 🤷🏻♀️

  • Nice lighter, but a little expensive.
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. It seems like all the butane style lighters these days are designed to be used until the fuel runs out and then thrown away. We're constantly going through them with my wife lighting candles and incense in the house almost daily. When I saw this up on Vine I decided to give it a try. I thought it looked interesting, from design perspective and the company's eco-friendly stance, and I wanted something that would stop us from buying throwaway lighters. So far, we haven't been let down. The lighter comes packaged in a really nicely designed box. I feel like they spent some time and money on designing both the box and the lighter, and on the advertising. There are no instructions in the box, but there is a QR code on the side to download them. I'm perfectly okay with this, but I can see some people having difficulty with it. I was able to figure it out without the instructions anyways. After fully charging it, I gave it a try. It lights candles and incense just as easily as a butane lighter. The incense might take a second or two longer, but it does light it. See my video. My wife's been using it for the last couple weeks on a daily basis and we haven't had any issues with it. The battery indicator still shows it as almost full. I show this in the photos. The light is okay. It'd help if you were in the dark without a flashlight. I don't really see it helping with lighting something though. It's on the bottom of the unit facing downward. It'd be better placed where the light is facing towards the object you're trying to light. For this lighter it seems like just another thing you can say your lighter does that another similar lighter doesn't. At that it's little more than a gimmick. My only complaint or concern with it would be with the child safety. There really isn't any. I guess you could consider having to hold the power button for a couple of seconds to turn it on as a safety precaution, but nowadays a lot of things turn on the same way. My twin 9yo boys could easy figure out how to turn this on. If you were to touch the arc I don't think it'd be like touching the arc on a stun gun, but I'm thinking it would burn you and it can start fires. Luckily, my boys know better and I can trust them to leave it alone. I can't say that about most kids. Overall, I think this is a well thought out and designed lighter with the environment in mind. Is it worth $45? I don't know. Most of the other lighters out there similar to this are significantly lower in cost. I think we're paying for some of the design that went into it at this price. If the lighter holds up for a couple years, I'd say that it was worth it, but I have a couple years to go before I'll be able to know for sure. For now, I have a working lighter that serves it's purpose and I hopefully won't have to throw out anytime soon. I'm sure the battery isn't good for the environment if thrown out, and requires proper recycling. I would recommend it to others, but I think it would be difficult convincing them that it's better than the others out there at less than half the cost. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Junk Product
Color: Black
This lighter worked fine until the second time we tried to recharge it. Will not accept a charge from multiple chargers. Avoid this one!

  • Don’t waste your money
Color: Black
It worked twice. Then never again. It is fully charged and lights up but the contacts that would light a candle or incense don’t respond nor connect to send out a spark. It really is a piece of junk so I’d advise people to save their money. It’s a great idea that unfortunately doesn’t work.
