So there is no interlock feature on these to make them child proof, lets get that out of the way. However I needed something easy to use. I have become frustrated with these new lighters that it seems like you need 3 hands to make them operate properly. But with that said my friend who has arthritis loves these she said they were super easy to use. There is no having to slide and hold down one switch while squeezing another switch and hoping you hit them just right to make it light. This has a super simple slide switch that fires a piezo sparker and lights the flame, and you simply hold that one switch for as long as needed. The adjustable flame is pretty simple to set up, and refilling them is just like refilling any other refillable butane product. The fuel window is a bit testy to see in low light but in a bright room it is pretty easy to see and tell how much fuel is left. Now I bought the first set of these over a year ago, I have dropped them, one fell in a stream while camping "not recommended they are not waterproof" It however still lights after it dried off so that is a plus. I tried a few other brands and so far this is the only one that survived being refueled multiple times and the daily rigors of life. I love the fact it is like a small torch and it lights campfires, candles, camp stoves, and most of all my old fashioned charcoal stick hand warmers "If you don't know what that is you are still young" Those things are a little tricky to light with normal lighters but due to the torch like flame this thing makes lighting the charcoal stick pretty easy and it is darn wind resistant as well. ... show more

So I received the product and liked it immediately. Easy to fill and adjust, good build quality and consistent spark and flame. Works perfectly to light cigars, to start the grill or when it's particularly windy out. Used it regularly for a few months and ended up losing it. These are easy to fill and provide a very strong flame. Perfect for starting those coals or lighting candles. There's no safety switch on them, so please keep them out of the hands of children.

I like the slim design and convince of lighting with a slide button, my only real problems have to do with refilling. It seems as though not a single nozzle on any standard butane can properly fits this to fill. Also it is very prone to getting air trapped inside and you have to burp it constantly in order for it to continue working. ... show more

I bought these because they were cheap and I needed something fast, but they are now permanently in my camping gear. The flame is hot, precise, and consistent. They don't use a ton of fuel, but it does use more in the colder weather.

It's very convenient, easy to use, handle and store. Good flame size but not too big. Doesnt remain hot afterwards for too long. Malfunctions after a while but not as fast as all the rest do that are this size.
