  • Very good. Probably the best option for scooter turn-signals, but with some issues.
I wanted turn signals/running-lights for my e-scooter. These do a good job. but there are some issues. THE GOOD: The lights are pretty bright. They are easily visible at night or in indirect sunlight. In direct sunlight they are visible but not very obvious to cars. I included a photo in this review where the left turn-signal is in daylight shade, while the right-turn-signal is in direct sunlight. (Prior to this, I bought another type/brand of removable turn-signals that could not be seen during daytime, so these are MUCH better.) I do wish that they were a bit brighter, but they are pretty good. The grips are comfortable, high-quality, and feel exactly like the original grips on my scooter. The grips have an internal protrusion that fits into the forward-slot of practically all scooter handlebars, in order to keep the grips from spinning. (See attached photo.) This keeps the lights aligned to the front and to the back so that they can be seen by oncoming and trailing motorists. The grips and remote recharge using USB-C. Once the grip-lights are paired to the remote control, the remote works well. The grip-lights can be used without the remote control (by tapping the ends) but with less convenience and functionality. A long-press makes it flash quickly. A short-press turns it on bright-mode running lights. (For use as a turn-signal without the remote-control, it would be more convenient if a short-press made it flash.) In either case, you tap to turn-off. If using the remote-control, you can have the running-lights be bright, dim, or off (by tapping the power button). You can also have both turn signal lights flash like emergency-flashers by tapping the emergency-flasher button. The turn signals still work if you use the running lights (which is how I use them at night) and I REALLY like this feature. THE BAD: The user manual is bad. The instructions are poorly written and difficult to understand. There is no explanation about how to remove the rubber-band-mount (which must be removed in order to charge the remote control). It took me a while to figure out how to use these things through experimentation. I’ll explain a few of those below in case it helps save people some time. It would be troublesome to remove the grips for charging, so you’ll probably need to charge the grip-lights on the scooter, which is a bit of a hassle, but not too bad if you have a spare USB charger and cord (like I do). I previously had handlebar turn-signals that could be unscrewed for charging, but that’s a also a bit of a hassle because you have to remember to reinstall them on the scooter. As is true with any brand of HANDLEBAR-WIDTH turn-signals for narrow scooter-handlebars, the rider’s body (and possibly hands) can block the view of the turn signals—especially if a motorist is directly behind. I have a 31” (79 cm) waistline and my hips are about 13” (33 cm) wide. My scooter’s handlebars are 17” (43 cm) wide, but it can be difficult to see the turn signals from directly behind me when I’m on the scooter—even with a trim-fitting t shirt (let alone a thick coat). I partially mitigated this issue by not fully seating the grips, but instead leaving each one extend outward about 1” (2.5cm), thereby providing about 19” (48cm) between lights. You can also make the turn-signal more visible by shifting your hands, forearms, and hips away from the active turn-signal. For me, (in the USA where we drive on the right) the left-turn-signal is the most important one because if I need to make a left turn from the right side of the rode, I need any cars that are behind me to see that I’m turning left. In that case, the car will likely be to the left of me, and so my body won’t be blocking the driver’s view of my left turn-signal. The lights don’t always respond INSTANTLY to the remote-control. Sometimes it takes 1-2 seconds. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Once the turn-signal-grips are paired to the remote control, you have to do the following in order to use them with the remote-control. (1) Tap the ends of both grips to turn on both lights. (2) Long press the remote-control to turn it on. (3) Short-press (tap) the power-button to cycle through the running-light choices- bright, dim, & off. Then you can use the remote-control’s turn-signal buttons & emergency-flasher button. (4) When done riding, you can turn-off the remote-control by long-pressing its power-button. (This is not explained in the user-manual.) In order to charge the remote, you must remove the rubber-band holder because it blocks the USB-C port. You remove it by sliding it away from the open end. (This isn’t mentioned in the user-manual.) I’ve included photos of the back of the remote with and without the removable rubber-band holder. While the remote is charging, it flashes red. When it’s fully charged, it goes solid red. (This isn’t mentioned in the user-manual.) The turn signal remote-control is 1-11/16” (42mm wide) and 2-1/8” (54mm) tall. On my (Navic T5) scooter, that’s narrow enough to fit between the scooter’s speedometer and the accelerator lever, but not quite narrow enough to fit between the speedometer and the folding latch-catch. The grip-lights behave differently if the remote is turned on than if it’s turned off. For example, if the remote is turned on, then the turn-signal’s flashing interval is slower (like a normal car turn signal), whereas the flashing interval is quite fast if the remote-control is turned-off. And when the remote-control is turned on, with the running-lights off, both grip-lights flash very briefly once every 7-seconds, whereas they don’t flash when the remote is turned-off. In my particular scooter setup, I use the handlebar space on both side of the speedometer to strap an insulated lunch pack to my scooter, so it’s not convenient for me to attach the remote-control to the handlebars at those spaces. (That probably won’t be an issue for most people.) So, I rotated the rubber-band holder 90-degrees (see attached photo) and I attached the remote control to folding latch-catch on the left side of my handlebars. (See attached photo.) I almost never fold my scooter so I rarely need that latch. If I ever need to fold the scooter, I’ll just remove the rubber band and remote-control, which is very easy to do. OVERALL: These turn-signals could have been better engineered, but I’m very happy with them. 4.5 stars for the functionality (if you read my instructions above), but 3.5 stars due to the time that I wasted figuring out how to use them due to the bad user-manual. ... show more

  • Perfect Addition for Electric Scooter Safety!
I recently purchased the Natkie Turn Signal Handlebar Kit for my Xiaomi electric scooter, and I couldn't be more pleased with this product. From the moment I unboxed the kit, I was impressed by the quality and thoughtfulness that went into its design. The lights are incredibly bright, ensuring that I'm visible to other road users even in low light conditions. The responsiveness of the signals is excellent, with no noticeable delay between pressing the button and the lights activating. The wireless design means there are no messy cables to worry about, keeping my scooter looking sleek and clean. Overall, the Natkie Turn Signal Handlebar Kit has exceeded my expectations. It's compatible with a range of popular scooters, including Hiboy, Segway Ninebot, and Xiaomi, making it a versatile choice for many riders. • Good grips, feels safer
This kit came nicely packaged. It has two handlebars and a remote. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Installing was a little tricky on my specific handlebars (M-Line model), but I finally got it to work. The handlebars fit half inch handlebar pipe. The grip is a durable yet comfortable plastic with a little bit of cushion. They are very sturdy. The turn signal lights are a soft orange color but bright, it also has a hazard lights setting. The remote clips onto the scooter and is very straightforward to use. Overall, this is a good price for this setup. I feel much safer on the road at night. Would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Helps make me visible when I'm out scooting
I dearly love my little scooter, but other drivers can be a danger, because they're looking for cars, not anything smaller. Aside from following all laws and driving defensively, anybody using a non-car or truck on a public road needs to be seen. Lights like these help us little folks to be seen, and hopefully avoided. These lights work easily, and are bright enough to be seen at a distance. Good value! ... show more
