A recent surgery left me attending Out Patient two days each week and I found this device to also use at home. The PT location has weighted wraps which go around the ankles, but I could not do those exercises at home. This allows the use of your own home weights to be strapped to your shoe to allow the required strengthening. The disadvantage of this system is the inability to safely walk with this attached to your shoes, as you would be stepping down on the dumbbell. Figuring out the Velcro straps is a bit tedious for the first time user and would be easier if you had a second person attaching the weight and applying the device. But, overall, it is a clever idea for home PT and I found it to be a good way to improve my strength. I do recommend this for your use! ... show more

I find this a little awkward to use and wear. I get some skin 'digging' with the straps and a heavier sock will help with this problem. One should buy two, one for each foot to eliminate the switching back and forth. I would probably buy it again.

I thought I would like this but it is too much a pain to strap on a weight and back and forth between feet. I found the price too much for a device that is not intuitive to put on and seems awkward overall.

Even though it serves its purpose, there are a few things about it that don’t completely satisfy me. One of the problems is that even after I loosen the straps, it still has a tendency to dig into my skin. I think I may have to use it while wearing socks. Another issue Ive had is that, even though there are instructions, I frequently struggle to put it on properly. I have to check the directions every time I use it to make sure I’m positioning it correctly. I’m not sure how often I’ll use it because I keep gravitating toward easier options that suit my needs. ... show more
