I bought this for my grand daughter's 8th birthday. I researched, and read everything to make a responsible decision and this brand was at the top of each review for safety, and durability. The next step was to try it myself before I presented to her for her birthday. I read, and re-read the instruction for use, charged the battery until I had a full green signal on the charger. I got on the Hoverboard as instructed trying to have a fluid motion with one foot in back. I stood there on the Hoverboard for a good minute just wobbling, but never fell off or even felt like I was going to. I realized that the board was sensitive to my motions, and I was really confusing it. The instructions stated to not have anxiety, and I realized very quickly that meant to be relaxed. I memorized the instructions for moving forward, turning, stopping, ect. However I soon realized that it was just common sense. I do have a video of me jumping off the Hoverboard, which is really funny, but it was not a fall, and I should have just stayed on bending my knees as instructed. When I jumped off, the board immediately stopped, so I appreciate that as well. Withing 5 minutes I was travelling through the house, pretty flawlessly. I spent another few hours mastering the ride, it was so much fun. I can not wait for my grand daughter to start using this Hoverboard. After my practice runs I feel like she will be safe, and have fun. I have decided to purchase another board for me so we can ride together. The blue tooth synced perfectly with my phone, the sound is very clear, and crisp. I am 63 years old and not an adventurous type, but this Hoverboard is just easy fun. ... show more

I purchased the TOMOLOO Hoverboard with Speaker and Colorful LED as an Xmas gift for my 8-year-old son (who weighs about 80lbs.) and it began to malfunction after approximately 10 rides. The hoverboard has only been used indoors (on hardwood floors) because I wanted my son to get good at riding it before he rode it outside on concrete. However, when he rides it, the hoverboard intermittently and abruptly stops, which makes it difficult and dangerous to use. I checked to see if there was anything stuck in the wheels that would prevent it from turning smoothly, but even after I removed any dust/hair particles, the problem persists. We are very disappointed because my son has barely gotten to use his gift. I, of course, reached out to the company weeks ago and have not received a response. During the same time I bought the TOMOLOO hoverboard, I purchased a much cheaper pink one manufactured by a different company for my younger daughter but decided to pay almost $100 more for the TOMOLOO hoverboard because it seemed more reliable and I assumed my son could use it as he got older. Now both kids fight to use the cheap pink hoverboard, which has gotten a lot more use and has been running smoothly since day one. ... show more

    • I returned TWO Hover-1 Drive's before I bought this. This is WAY BETTER!!

I bought my 10 y/o a Hover-1 Drive for Christmas. We were immediately disappointed with the battery life but just thought that's how all hoverboards were. But then it stopped holding a charge altogether within 24 hours and I returned it for a replacement. The second one that came lasted a few days longer, but then started to have other issues. When I returned that one I decided to buy a different brand and decided on this one. I'm so glad I did! This hoverboard may not have a brand name like Hover-1 but it is SO FAR SUPERIOR in every single way! - Battery lasts significantly longer (around half an hour of solid full speed riding) - The charge time is way less - Top speed is a couple mph faster - Has cool lights on the board and wheels - Has a built in speaker that connects by bluetooth - Best of all, even with months of multiple daily rides, it is still working like new! It's interesting, I didn't think my kiddo would care for the bluetooth speaker at all, but it has ended up being one of his favorite features (along with the lights - he likes to ride in the dark to see the light show). He's autistic and LOVES engine noises so he connects it to his iPad and plays engine videos on YouTube so while he's riding it around the house it sounds like the engine noises are coming from the hoverboard. Total hit! The only annoying thing about it is the beeping it makes when you reach top speed, which, for our kid is constantly. That being said it's a built in safety feature for all hoverboards and the only way to disable it from any of them would be to remove the speaker connector from the motherboard which would permanently disable all sound. For the price I would argue that this is one of the best hoverboards currently available in this class. I can definitely recommend! I sincerely hope this review has been helpful to someone else! My son absolutely LOVES this hoverboard! It was one of the best gifts he has gotten and he uses it all the time. I wasn't sure if it would be a fad, but he uses it to do his chores picking up toys and dishes and putting them away. It also is a fun toy. :) The best is the customer service. I am always hesitant buying brands I am not sure of, but this company got back to me right away with questions or concerns and has been easy to work with.
